Gloves Off:  Punch Punch V H. Upmann Magnum 46 

For most of us this is like choosing a favourite from our childen. ..........poor form indeed but you know you have one!  

Answer the poll questions assuming age of the cigars and construction quality being equal. 

Of course, answer only if you have tried both.

This might be the closest one yet. Two of my favorite cigars. Punch Punch by the slimmest of margins. They give me a bit more of the flavors I love and I prefer the Punch profile. If only the Punch still came in SLB. At least there are Tubos.

Punch Punch. The Mag 46 doesn’t really speak to me, but I assume I just haven’t had the right one.

I have no clear answer as I really love both, I'd go with the Mag46 by the slightest margin but only because of the SLB.

Two of my favourites. I went for the Mag 46 if I were to be offered a box but on an other day I could easily pick the Punch. I’m currently working my way through a 50 cab of Punch Punch, the best way to pick them up!

I love them both so much, but I'd pick the Mag46 by a very slim margin. I've had older Punch Punch that were inconsistent and have let me down, though recent production has been great.

I won’t have a different response than the ones prior. Very tough choice. Right now, Mag 46 from 2024 are on fire, so I’ll go that way. 2 of the best cigars offered for the money.

Which cigar is better depends on the individual cigar. Mag 46 was an early favorite of mine then I had a run of them that I didn't care for. PPP came into the rotation maybe 2010. 50s of 2014s were the bomb as are some of the last cabs seen in '16. 

As the '16 PPPs got smoked I got into the 2020 Mag 46s and have been very impressed. There is nothing but upside to these cigars.

Which is truly superior? Given perfect RH, setting, and company either can be a 5 star cigar.

I'm going through a great 50 cab of Punch Punch 2016 at the moment. It's hard to look past it right now.

Hard choice but a very slight lean toward the Mag 46.

Man! Um. How do I pick one? I am gonna say Punch but just by a tiny hair. I would be glad to smoke either and often.

Brutal choice — I love both. Punch Punch gets my vote for complexity, while the Magnum 46 takes body and finish. If I’m forced to choose, I’ll take the Mag 46, but only by the narrowest margin. Ask me again tomorrow and I may give you a different answer!

Geee that is tough. Complexity Punch. Body Upmann. Finish in the last 6 to 12 months definitely Punch, they have been absolutely magnificent. Prise Punch me.

I've a box of PPP that are hands down the most amazing smelling cigars I've ever had, there's a real rich deep fruity tobacco smell that I've not had elsewhere. 

Real difficult one to choose on this, I could happily go either way.

Punch Punch after lunch, Mag 46 after dinner. Wonderful.

I can't split them. Love them both. Mag 46 is my 3 wood. Punch Punch my 5 iron. Both Indispensable to my game. Both feel like home.
