El Presidente Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Well, the weekend kicked off with one hell of a lunch and deck session Friday. Cody is in from Texas, Clive and West in from Western Australia and Luke up from Melbourne. It was a brilliant day/evening/morning.....from what I can remember Today/Saturday is lunch with the lads at one of our favourite restaurants "Stanleys" and then a cigar at Blackbird overlooking the river. I hope to be home by 5PM to collapse on the couch and watch some rugby. Sunday is Paniyiri whch is the largest Greek festival outside of Athens. Huge day and I think I will send Cody there while I knuckle down and do some work, visit some parents etc. What's up for the weekend? 3 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted May 23 Popular Post Posted May 23 I'm having a quiet one at home this weekend, as I brought my wife home from hospital this week after she spent two weeks in hospital following her hip surgery. She doing very well. I smoked a few cigars, caught up on Duolingo and watched some TV shows we enjoy (Your Friends and Neighbors, Margo's Got Money Troubles and Widow's Bay). 12 1
anacostiakat Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Hauling the dogs to the groomer. Always a production as they are getting older. Raining here too. 4
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted May 23 Popular Post Posted May 23 Headed to the driving range to tune up a little for a Monday round with my sister. I just play for fun but if she outscores me, I’d never hear the end of it. Since it matters that much to her, I can’t let her win 😁. 5 5

Popular Post Çnote Posted May 24 Popular Post Posted May 24 There's also a MacArthur museum in Brisbane, as his HQ was in the CBD. This is a reproduction of his desk, with the original inkspots and cigar burns recreated for historical accuracy. A humidor was also in the room, my understanding is this was the original before and after MacArthur used this particular office. I did not expect to find something so closely cigar related. @JohnS - can you help me out here? Ppl may get dizzy looking at these! 9
