I'm doing a little bit of cleanup around the backyard, garden and pool after some rainy and stormy weather the last few days. I'm looking forward to catching up with friends for dinner tonight. Most probably I will also catch-up with a classic movie (or two) this weekend.

I went sorting through my humidor this morning to find my 2014 box of Por Larranaga Montecarlos with the aim of smoking one, just to see if they're worth $US400 each nowadays😂 I also located my 2014 box of Por Larranaga Petit Coronas. I may smoke one of them to see if they're now worth a couple of hundred buck each or not! 😁

Send me a few and I'll pay you back soon. I'm good for it! 👀

Busy weekend leading into the short Easter next week.

Touch of work this morning followed by a long gym session as I managed to miss a couple of days for one reason or another. Back for a few zoom calls with mates followed by an afternoon of chores, newspapers, cigars, negronis, BBQ, movies.

Big one Sunday. Kick off with a workout as later in the day I host a table of 10 at Moda's legendary Italian wine lunch. Ken will be joining us for what will be a brilliant afternoon. I will post a few pictures Sunday :ok:

What's up for the weekend? :spotlight:

How do you guys supplement the small pours per serving? Heavy on the Champers? Or do you not have that prob in Oz?

It's pretty much bottomless on these days. You never need another drink...for a week.

Yesterday I went and got sushi. Today I had a tee ball game, later I'm gonna sit outside and smoke and tomorrow we have team pictures. 🫠 Busy, busy.

Finally have two days off in a row! Lots of cigars and some pipe smoking this weekend as well. Going to see Slomosa-kicking off my 2026 concert list. Already have tickets for Public Image Ltd., Empire of the Sun, and Iron Maiden. Hoping for about 4-5 more shows.

Iron Maiden puts on a helluva show (at least they used to). I saw them in 1985 World Slavery Tour in Greensboro NC. The power company had to set up six or seven substations in the parking lot just to drive the speakers. That was the loudest concert I have ever seen, ears rang for three days. Seen them in 2022 and that was also a great show. Concerts are like Cuban cigars, pricing out all the loyal fans. Lol. If I remember correctly, the 1985 tickets were $15.

Watch out for those Bahamian sharks that are supposedly jacked up on coke. Ha!

I grew up spear fishing is South Florida. Would make trips to Bahamas to fish. The sharks were crazy there. You’d spear a fish and basically have to move spots due to how quickly the sharks descended on you. Unfortunately Florida is about as bad these days. The shark protection has gone too far. Talk to any fisherman in Florida and they’ll tell you the population is out of control.

You guys are getting me a little nervous. We are staying on a yacht and basically doing water sports the whole time.

You're gonna need a bigger boat. 🤣

Nah, GPT says 0.08 shark attacks per year over the last 400 in Bahamas. Enjoy the vacation!

You’ll be fine!

Although, ChatGPT / shark attack reporting for Bahamas is laughably inaccurate. There have been more than 34 shark attacks in the Bahamas going back to 1626…. Honestly that’s a wild time period to claim a stat goes back to.

I remember going to Mexico during Covid and the country said they didn’t have one positive Covid case in something like 6 months.

As a fisherman in South Florida I would concur.
