Example. Make sure the readout is clearly seen. 2. Give us an update (no photo required) in the First weekend of March and The First Weekend of April.  Do it on this thread. Lise will post a progressive spreadsheet of those who post. Miss a weigh in and you are out 5. On the First weekend of May take another photo of your feet on the scales with your finishing weight ( FAT BASTARD CSI team will match closing feet to opening feet  *Largest weight loss as a % of starting weight wins a box of cigars to be chosen by myself. It is all about having a little bit of fun and starting the year on a healthy "ish" note with some cigars to provide a little motivation Get those photos in between Monday 26th of January and  Friday the 30th of January Cheers Rob 3

Popular Post Dr vonPuffenberg Posted Tuesday at 11:06 AM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 11:06 AM I caught a stomach bug last week and lost 3 pounds. I’d like to request a handicap. 5
Popular Post Ruggerpgh99 Posted Tuesday at 12:55 PM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 12:55 PM I have needing some motivation and accountability to lose some weight, so here we go, even figured out to change it to kilograms, like a proper member of world society. 5
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted Tuesday at 06:13 PM Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 06:13 PM My doc wants me at 185. I have not been below 200 in over 20 years so I am interested to see if I can do it. Down over all from 255. 94.346 kg to 83.915 kg. Eventually I will get there. Bike gets finished this weekend! 7
Popular Post LordAnubis Posted 17 hours ago Popular Post Posted 17 hours ago Gaaad damn.  Yeah it’s out of control. 😱  6
BeerPimp Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I lost some weight last year. Now to work hard and lose a good amount this year. 3
Goldeneye Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Goal is to get back to 185 lbs, a weight which I feel pretty good carrying around while still able to enjoy beer and a fewer other things. 4
Ford2112 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I gotta say. So far the feet have started out pretty good! The contest is still young... 1 3

5thStarChicago Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This is desperately needed motivation to dust off the rowing machine and get to work.  And maybe put down the fork / have slightly less booze but definitely smoke more. 1
ha_banos Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Sorry no digital scales here. Sorry about the sock fluff... 97kg. I'm down 3kg already this year.   1
Popular Post Hammer Smokin' Posted 4 hours ago Popular Post Posted 4 hours ago Go get'em boys!!! I failed two consecutive years on the Fat Bastid comp. Last time was '20 or '21. But something clicked for me in 2024. It didn't happen overnight, heck, it's still a work in progress, but went 130kg to 88kg at last check. Want to to 80kg as my end goal - for a total of 50kg loss. Cardio and calisthenics were my ticket. Good luck!! 6

That's an amazing transformation. oh, lots to do with both of those things! diet wise, I didn't follow anything but 500 calorie deficit a day. But nothing specific, just a 3500 reduction a week (1lbs a week loss from that). Alcohol wise I quit drinking beer. Moved to vodka cocktails (yes, boring, but better than water). Biggest thing for me, in my mid 40s, was discovering exercising. I was so overweight. I shouldn't have been able to exercise. But I wanted to. I needed to. So I started walking. When I could walk 5km without stopping, I tried jogging a bit (0.5km jog, 4.5km walk). I did that until I could jog 5km without stopping (that took about a year). But once that happened, there was no stopping me. From not being able to climb stairs, I ran three half marathons (with the first when I was still over 100kg's). Realized after a lifetime of being overweight, the freedom of running was something I never knew I'd love. It's, by far, my favourite thing in life. I can run for multiple hours without stopping. Sure, I'm not fast. But I love it. That's what's keeping my weight off. Lots of people ask how I did it. When they find out it wasn't a secret diet, nor medication, rather, hard work and exercise, I quickly lose their attention. I want to get a full marathon in before June of this year, when I turn 46. We'll see. I signed up for one April 12th. 5

Otherwise, the odd 5k.... Needs must. There's a thing, C25k. In case it helps anyone. Love it or loathe it! It's good for you!  1
