Popular Post LizardGizmo Posted January 20 Popular Post Posted January 20 (edited) The long rumored "BHK59"/"Atabey"/Fat Pyramid from Cohiba will finally be released in 2026 as a 60 Aniversario Edición Limitada. Dimensions are 59 x ~140mm (5½″). Its commercial name will be Excelentes. Its factory name will be - very appropriately - Mitos, or 'myth' in Spanish. It was originally designed as a new cigar for the BHK line, but Habanos ended up holding it for this year. Here's a link link to 2024's thread with photos and more details: Edited February 7 by LizardGizmo Updated blend and release info. 7 3 1

I saw this one last year but it seemed like its release type was uncertain/unclear at the time. It's great to see a 45rg cigar at that length. 1
padrinocubano Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Excelentes/Atabey without ligero...only medio tiempo? Where is this information from? That`s not right.

LizardGizmo Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 I believe it was directly from Danilo who manages the El Laguito factory. This is correct. Danilo was very specific about the uniqueness of the blend when we tasted a prototype of the cigar in mid-2024. I spoke to him a few months ago and the blend remains the same. He’s very proud of this cigar - and it is very good. 1 2
padrinocubano Posted February 7 Posted February 7 It`s changed...there is not only medio tiempo inside. There is nothing from medio tiempo used for those cigars. 1 1

I just talked with him and you are correct! Habanos recently changed the blend and replaced the medio tiempo in the blend with ligero. He also just told me this cigar is now launching after the festival because of packaging/bands delivery issues. He just found out yesterday. He’s pretty bummed out all around… It’s certainly no longer the cigar we tasted. Thanks for prompting this update, I appreciate it. 2

This sounds like a really c****y thing to do to someone who spent time crafting a gorgeous blend. I’m sure he’s super upset and a bit heartbroken that they’d do this. Any plans to release his original blend as something else? 1

I’d have to imagine it’s not going to ever happen, which is really disappointing. The cigar was great. And yes, that’s exactly how he’s feeling… 2

The actual release did not. Even heard the CGR's at Habanos Fest were way better than the actual release cigars, which on their own were 100 point cigars to begin with. 1
MPS Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Habanos SA really got everyone to believe in the medio tiempo magic. Absolutely incredible. 3
Popular Post LaoFan Posted March 23 Popular Post Posted March 23 I smoked one yesterday. They are every bit as good as advertised. From ㉦ @LizardGizmo 5 2
