NYGuido Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Where’s the setting for “someone messing with my humidor”? 😂 1
TanT Posted January 10 Posted January 10 If your wife is not your life partner and best friend, someone you genuinely like and respect and believe is worth listening to, that isn't funny. It's sad. It seems to be human nature to laugh at tragedy, but there can certainly be an edge to that laughter. 2 1 1
TanT Posted January 10 Posted January 10 With respect, no thank you. Jokes whose punchlines are basically "women bad", or "men bad" or "(insert any group of people) bad" can hit different when you're the punchline. Even when they're not intended to. I hope your next cigar is so good it makes you want to share the love of the leaf with everyone.
rcarlson Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Irreverence and self-deprecation are the heart of humor. The opposite is sad. 2

Even when they're not intended to. If the joke doesn't resonate with you, it's more than fine, of course, to express such. I'd only suggest you be true with your aim when doing so. It's a light-hearted joke about the institute of marriage. In no way does it say men or women or any group are bad. 5 1
Nevrknow Posted January 10 Posted January 10 My wife thought it hilarious. Picking on each other keeps us smiling. To each his own I guess. 4
Popular Post BigGuns Posted January 10 Popular Post Posted January 10 My wife would just smack it out of my ear if she wanted to be sure I heard her. 5

We love each other dearly and have that same dynamic in our relationship. Believe me, if my wife needs me to hear something, that message is delivered however she deems sufficient. 😄 3
