Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2024 2024 Cuban Cigar top 10 as determined by members. I do like this poll as it is put together by people here who are spending there own coin. Can't quibble with what members have come up with. It will make a good sampler to kick off the new year! The D4 ran away with the number 1 pick in the end. Well deserved. Honourable mention (from me) for Punch Punch, H. Upmann Magnum 54. 1. Partagas Serie D Number 4 2. Ramon Allones Specially Select 3. Juan Lopez Seleccion Number 2 4. Montecristo Number 2 5. Bolivar Belicoso Finos 6. Partagas Serie P Number 2 7. Cohiba Robusto 8. Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure Number 2 9. Por Larranaga Petit Corona 10. Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill 12
Bada_Bing_NJ Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 I'm surprised JL #2 so high up on the list! Guess I need to try another one with some age.

They are a great replacement for the more expensive robustos these days. Depends on the box, sometimes they are good right away. But, I once bought a couple of boxes and they tasted just awful ROTT, took about 2 years for those to calm down. 2
sbsbsb1 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Was surprised to not see BRC's on the list. 2024 boxes were great, and flew off the shelves on 24:24.
Puros Y Vino Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Solid list! Not a dud in the bunch. If anything, the CoRo is my least favourite in this list. 3
chasy Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 @El Presidente are you gonna do your top 25 list this year? 2 1
Tunkat92 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I haven't tried any ‘23/24 RyJ Wide Churchills or RASS, but its hard to disagree with this list.
BoliDan Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Crazy that no H.Upmann made the list. Probably would replace Hoyos with a Mag 50 personally, but its a good list.
BrightonCorgi Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Never tried the Wide Churchill. I can see why the order is what it is beyond the WC. I've fallen out of favor on the BBF and PC's really aren't my thing. I can see why others are hot for both. How far down the list were Monte No.3?
BossHogg Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 My humidor agrees very much with this list 😄 🍻 1

My list wouldn't change too much. CORO would move to 1. Just a great year. D4 would be 2 BBF would drop out of top 10. Upmann Magnum 54 would come in. Bolivar Royal Corona would be 11. Upmann Magnum 50/Punch Punch/Cohiba Siglo III and VI, BBF, ERDMCX,Monte 3/Trinidad Vigia/VR Famosos and Unicos 3 3

JohnnyO Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 Rob, great list. I am wondering if for 2024 you did a poll on your everyday go to cigar and how the two lists would compare? Merry Christmas to all. John 1
charx Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 My only change would be to boot the Monte 2 and add the HU 54 Mag, otherwise it's spot on.
Habanoschris Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 I'm definitely feeling PLPC, RASS & Punch Punch this year. I wish I had gotten more Partagas Serie D No.4 (was hearing such good things all year). Hadn't had a single BBF or CoRo in 2024.
REesq Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Pretty solid list, although it is interesting that 9 of the 10 are either robustos (6) or pyramids (3) and that no larger sizes or non-pyramid figurados made the list. Personally, the Punch Punch would have easily made my top 10 instead of the R&J Wide Churchill and I would have replaced the RA and JL Robustos with the Punch DC and the Hoyo de Monterrey Elegantes, as the newer releases for both have pleasantly exceeded my expectations.
joeypots Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 So. Many. Robustos. I wonder if the D4 is #1 because of availability and the Punch Punch didn’t make the list because it’s harder to source. I know that robustos are the favorite vitola these days but I remember when the corona gordas were the preferred size in some polls and the Mag 46 was king. That said, I wouldn’t turn down even one on that list. 1

Twin edge of the sword. D4 were produced in good quantities through this period but they also delivered an exceptionally high 91+ score mark in the member polls. Well done. 1
