JohnS Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 You've just made members here want a Trinidad cigar again! 😁 Well done, especially since Habanos S.A. haven't managed that since the 50th Anniversary releases! 👍
Popular Post ha_banos Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 Trinidad Robusto especial. Everything's especial nowadays... That's why the prices are also especial. 3 5
Popular Post Chitmo Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 Habanos has completely shut out any desire I have to buy Trinidad or Cohiba. The only apology for that bull shit I’ll accept is a 50-70% off sticker, otherwise they can keep selling them to folks with financial comfort levels higher than mine. 5
Fugu Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Secret?! AFAIR it had been announced as Travel Humidor (DFTR series), and - according to CCW - even been released already (while I’ve never seen one in the flesh...). Or are we talking about a different release? Ok, anyway, it won’t be a true reinstatement. A humble 12er SBN/SLB, standard-banded cigar at $25-30 bucks a piece?... I am game! 🤪😭😂

Fugu Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Thanks KC! Wonder which “speciality” we are being presented with this time. 😅
JohnnyO Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Its being rolled at EL for La Feria del Habano and maybe other factories. Looks like a 6 1/8 X 50 standard RE with a pigtail. I think it will have 2 bands, one at the foot. From what I hear it will be a short lived Feria cigar. John 2 2
Popular Post Cigar Surgeon Posted February 26, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2024 https://halfwheel.com/trinidad-robustos-extra-returns-for-55th-anniversary/435350/ Looks like cat is out of the bag. Quote Habanos S.A. has announced that in celebration of the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary, the Cuban cigar giant is bringing back the Trinidad Robustos Extra. Habanos S.A. discontinued the Robustos Extra in 2012 but announced in 2020 that it would come back in limited form for the travel and duty-free retail channels, meaning you could find the cigars in airports but not at traditional cigar stores. 5
benfica_77 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Make more Fundies!!! I swear I've seen them once or twice in the past 2-3 years on 24:24! 2

Hammer Smokin' Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Isn't that the cigar that everyone hated? I feel like it was one of the worst received LE's. Edit: Got mixed up with the Topes. 1

Hammer Smokin' Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 There it is! I swear I remembered it...but then second guessed myself, googled it, and though I mis-remembered and it was the Topes. Nope, it was the 2010 Short Robusto T. Thanks for helping clear my foggy brain

Ford2112 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 More dust collectors. There's no shortage of Cohiba and Trinidad. I believe HSA is shooting themselves in the foot! 1
Hammer Smokin' Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Nah, the Kirbys of the world will be all over these. 3
Cigarsmoker81 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Any best guess on pricing ? North of La Trova? 3 digits territory?

gormag38 Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 I see that they're being offered in packages of 3 and 12. From the article above it sounds like they are planning on releasing both to the public (rather than the 3 pk as a gala gift) which I don't know if that's ever been done before in that packaging. 1
Matt Holtz Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 I don't know why, but I've never gotten into Trinidads ... the flavor just isn't there for me.
