I'm an Australian, and truthfully, I don't want to play, but I have a pertinent question below...

Back in Newfoundland guys use to call them “The waps” because “wap!” Was the sound it made when you smacked the button. Not to mention the majority of the folks playing were hammered and yelling out wap when you hit something while drunk is funny. 😄

A little clue....It rhymes with wap with an S at that start and finish.....I think, I may be wrong. On the West Coast we do not have them at all. Which is good 👍

Couldn’t tell you what happens now, I haven’t been in an environment with them present for 20 years or more.

So when my friend and I go to the local casino we call ourselves “slot sluts”.

We are both married, employed and not addicted etc. We just have fun.

Me either 😃. You have to walk through the casino on the cruise ship I am on to get to the smoking lounge . They have a few in the lounge as well so I asked a couple of younger guys what they call them....

I call them stupid. Contemplate the inner meaning on your own.

My first job as a kid in HS, a whopping 4.10 an hour was fixing these things (they were in a desktop PVC box back then) and had a lcd dot-matrix display.

Image $4.10 an hour… I make almost double that now!!! 🤑
