Decided to jump into an April 21 box I purchased blind awhile back. Picked a medium weight example. The one next to it in the box was a full gram heavier and I'll be trying that one soon for a comparison.

V-cut shallow. Just a tiny bit of resistance, ideal draw for me. Unlit the notes were sweet tobacco, a little fruity and tangy. Everything was looking good.

Started with a nice bit of sweetness, touch of bright fruitiness, some cedar and wood notes. This didn't last beyond the first 1/4 or so and quickly moved to a burnt honey sweetness, while retaining the cedar notes. The initial fruitiness was mostly gone.

As it moved towards the second half, it remained mildy sweet, with more of a toasted oats/granola flavor profile, some creamy notes, but not a dominant flavor anywhere.

The last 1/3 was mostly toasted tobacco/cedar/and oats with honey. None of the flavor profiles ever became overpowering and it was quite restrained throughout the finish.

Overall, an enjoyable cigar, but hard to rate/gauge as it never really seemed to define itself. It kept hinting at different things, but never latched onto anything and danced around a bit too much. Perfect burn, no relights, ash held reasonably well, but was not firm. 89pts, but that's probably lower than it deserved as a stand-alone, however I was expecting something more defined.

Sounds like a Siglo 2 that needs a little sleep

Sorry, a couple were close, but no cigar! :_)

Romeo y Julieta Petit Corona. It really had no idea what it wanted to be. I'll be quite curious to try a few more from this box.
