What's up for the weekend. 

Walk to gym. Practice next weeks speech for Ben's wedding. 

Pick up tux. 

Long lunch at Stanleys today.  Dim Sum and champagne. Hard to go wrong. 

Stroll along the Brisbane River Riverwalk. Drop in for a negroni here and there.  Home, Cigar, Football. 

A little work tomorrow. Gym, catch up with mum and dad. Maybe take them for Glunch at Santorini (Greek). Dad's 90th coming up and we need to find the right venue. I think this could be the one.

Home again 🌴😎 out for Japanese last night. It will be a task but I will take myself down to the beach and force myself to have a swim , its cold the swell is up and its raining hmmm maybe I should try and sneak a little muskat into the glove box its an instant warmer when you jump back into the car....my partner is coming so I digress . Smoke cigars a plenty this weekend as I restocked with a little wine last night .

Yes it's that time of year again. Lamb will be sacrificed. Alcohol will be consumed. Cigars will be smoked. Orthodox Easter.

Tonight (Fri) burgers, fries and slaw.  Having some WhistlePig 10 Yr Rye with a Punch SS#1 for starters.    Saturday booze run.  Italian subs for lunch.  Not sure for dinner.  XFL football.  Basking in the selling of the Washington Commanders (Still hate that name) football team.  Wife tells me Sunday dinner is meat loaf.  Heh.

Maybe as part of the $6.05 billion price tag the new ownership group is allowed to change the name!

 Wow I have a boring life.

Yard work cleaning up from winter, mulching, pruning, etc.   

Sitting under the pergola with a cigar, going to be a NC though. 
 

Contemplating my next move as my permit for my smoking room was partially denied.  I am allowed to build the steps to the room above my detached garage but no permit for occupied space above the garage….   Ceiling height is minimum 7’ by code and I miss it by an inch due to the sheet rock ceiling and plywood subfloor losing me a tiny bit of height.   I have to appeal to a statewide, not local, board and I am thinking they will deny.    Going to review the boards past decisions and my chances of a successful appeal based upon the board’s charter and purpose.  Worse come to worse I do not put in the propane fireplace and do not install the split HVAC and permit it as ‘storage’ space and work on heat and AC after it is done.    Depressing.

Lord I hope so.  My understanding is that the earliest they could rebrand is 2025.

Springsteen last night at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

I love any Springsteen concert, but a Springsteen concert in Jersey just hits different.
