SMELTZ Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Looking forward to this 45 x 6 5/8" Partagas, if it ever shows itself. What do you think of this size? https://www.houseofgrauer.com/en/cigar-news/partagas-aliados 4
Popular Post ha_banos Posted January 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2023 Great vitola. Fan already. But will soon be turned off by price. 8
BrightonCorgi Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I am a fan of just about every LCDH cigar released. Would certainly buy these if afforded the opportunity. 2
PrairieSmoke Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Nice looking packaging too. I’m guessing $800-$1000 USD a box? 2
SMELTZ Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 Remember this post on Halfwheel? The Partagas Expertos has a similar size as the Aliados https://halfwheel.com/habanos-s-a-s-2021-releases-leak/383875/
TroutBum Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Sounds great but will likely be untouchable for this guy 2
MisterCigar Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I like the format. In my experience, the LCDHs are generally of high quality. I'm excited when this will be available. 2
NSXCIGAR Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 It looks like all of the new lacquered box LCDH releases are fairly reasonable in size. The JL SE is the largest at 52RG but the LGC Glorias are 50, the ERDM Royal Series 50, the Boli New Gold Medal 48 and the Party Aliados 45. Happy to see it. 3

Popular Post rckymtn22 Posted January 12, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 12, 2023 Another fine release from the Cuban Unobtainable series 6

While all the LCDHs are above average I would say the lacquered box series seems to be another step above. While I haven't had one yet I've heard a few very good things about the Glorias but the JLSE are exceptional. I've had two, both 94-95 points. I have one more left and it's going to be tough to smoke it. Hopefully I can pick up some singles in Cuba next week where the price is reasonable as well as some Glorias. 4 hours ago, rckymtn22 said: Another fine release from the Cuban Unobtainable series And yet they fly off the retail shelves. Too expensive for me on the retail market but the price is a little more palatable in Cuba--$27-29. At least they seem to be excellent so that price is not too far out of line. The going rate for Monte Especial and Sir Winston is in that range as well. I can tell you I would take a JLSE over any Trinidad and any Cohiba except a Siglo VI, Esplendidos or Lanceros. 5

I can confirm this with an incredibly delicious box of Punch 48.
Puros Y Vino Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 One of the few new cigars coming out I'm interested in. Unless as echoed above, they're priced stupidly. 2

I bought a single of the JLSE when they first were introduced and I have to agree, 94 for me. I bought a box soon after, hope I can wait on these as I feel they will only get better. 1

Thanks for posting Ridiculous, gone from some thing you smoke to something people collect. Way too fancy of a box to throw on the fire. 1
Puros Y Vino Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I'm not going to pay > $100/stick for a new release. LCDH releases used to be the most affordable boxes in the portfolio. This is ridiculous. I may never smoke a new Habanos not named Quinteros or JLP going forward.
Hammer Smokin' Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 that price is absolutely ridiculous, lol.

A good friend of mine who's well connected in the NC world said there's a definite movement going back to smaller RG cigars. It wont be like before, but an uptick in interest and production in sub 47 RG sticks has begun. 4 1

I would point out that it's been 6 years since the Cohiba RS with a 58 RG. I thought we'd have seen a 60 by now in at least ER or regular production (I know the 50 Aniversario was 60 but I wouldn't count that--and it too was 6 years ago.)
PrairieSmoke Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 @El Presidente any chance you will allow videos in our listings on Bond Roberts? I think I might be able to squeeze out a few more bucks if post my listings with a white-glove unboxing and a dramatic soundtrack. 🤣 2
SMELTZ Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 @Heels82 That vendor that is selling the Aliados is only "Pre-Order, Shipping in March"
