Popular Post Nevrknow Posted December 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 29, 2022 First off, I got into the game late enough, and 24/24 late enough to miss these when they came up. Newbieitis if you will😁 Always read reviews and desperately wanted to try one. I was blessed with a gift of not one but TWO of these with the same code ( among other cigars ). For that I am extremely grateful. So when the holidays rolled around I thought now is a good time to try one in addition to lighting one up for Mike and Nino. The pre light was smooth. Perfect draw ( for me ). Made me even happier I decided to smoke it. 1/3 First light shocked me. Harsher than what my pre light draw told me it would be. Then quickly settled down within a few draws. Slightly creamy, nutty and mildish? To me this is my type. Strength started to ramp up and finally settled precisely where I like it. I don't think I've ever had a cigar that did that before. 🤷🏼♂️. No problem tho. I was already enjoying this. 2/3 the burn is slightly getting irregular but no biggy. Quick touch up and it went to a laser and stayed until the end. Those light flavors pulled up to medium and stayed there the rest of the smoke. Color me impressed! 3/3 started to get a tad tougher near the nub but I expected it. Mom did not raise a quitter. I took it all the way! 😁 To me this ranked a 95 all day. And that's saying something. My Siglo VI's and even my beloved Lusi's would have a hard time standing up to this cigar. Alas I only have one left but you can bet when I light it there will be something special going on. I don't generally "save" cigars, I smoke what I feel like when I feel like it. But this other one will have to wait. Paired it with my first bottle of Eagle Rare. While not on par with my favorite Blanton's it is a bottle I will be purchasing again. 28 1

Mostly enjoy it neat and think for the price you can’t do better (when it’s in stock!)
Edicion Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Nice review, I can't say I have had this experience with the Sir Winnies yet, might need to fire one up soon again.
Low Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 This is one of the very few cigars I'm still searching for, and your review is not helping 😆
Greenhorn2 Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Good to hear that Winnie treated you right. That Eagle Rare is extremely rare around my neck of the woods, even the regular Buffalo Trace is unobtainable.
