It’s a learning process, and ACC is excited about the Habanos product and bringing the Cuban cigar brands to new heights, he noted. “They know our brand, our product, but they joined us knowing cigars only from [the] aficionado or consumer point of view,” explained Inchaurbe. “And we are in the process of also understanding their targets and goals and explaining our business goals, which can be a learning process.” Is the ACC owned by Gordon Gekko? 1

That minus old price is pure profit. Last week I saw Cohiba Esplendido in 3 cigar petacas for 297 Euros in T3. Esquisitos, Panetelas $600/700 Euros for 25. The worst part is those petacas are easy to fake, no factory codes, holograms etc. Another point that has not been discussed much is the US application of the Magnitsky act towards Cuba. This was 1st implemented by Trump around 2018-19. It prevents any transferring of USD to or from Cuba. China becomes a natural partner in this situation as they will gladly send containers of cheap clothing, electronics for cigars and rum. John 3
Lunettesman Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 As far as I've seen at LCDH Basel, St Gallen and some other retailers in Switzerland, Trinidad are collecting dust and you can pretty much find all of the range but for the Fundadores. As far as Cohiba goes, they had lots of Sig 1,2 and some 6. Espis,Coro, some of the less demanded ones and some secretos.

I'm sure he has plenty else not listed on their site. I may have to go to CH next month and the drive to Portmann's is like 2+ hours. Not sure I want to do it for potentially barren shelves. Good selection of chocolate if the cigars are a fail... 3

And good rhum as well. They are complaining that the incoming stock is low. Just give them a call/email what you are looking for. They will do there best for you. btw shelves weren’t empty in September. 1

Slayer Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I think similar to luxury watches and wines. There will be no shortage of people buying the premium brands (bands in this case), just a shift in buyers (to new money). The old buyers will likely buy less and explore other "value" marcas or maybe even dabble in NCs for everyday smokes. Just like people wearing iWatches now - they still have Rolexs, but just buying less.

Lunettesman Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 You do stat in Biel? I live there. Well... Nearer would be Lcdh Zurich but i have no idea what they have right now. You can visit Keller tabak in Biel. They have a small walk in and sometimes you can be lucky there.

Well, they could certainly increase production and they'd be back to a 1998-2000 situation. Quality could certainly be worse. I can at least appreciate they've learned that lesson. But yes, claiming "quality is most important above all else" is pretty rich. If that's where the priority has been it's not a good sign. 1

My cousin's new house is just outside of Biel, I think Nidau. Part of my visit is to check it out. He did live in Biel for some time and I have been plenty. Is Keller across the street from train station? I wasn't happy with some previous purchases. Last time were some SP Molinos. LCDH in Zurich is awful. The owner is such a prick. There's another cigar store around the corner that's much better.

Zurich LCDH is indeed a bit weird. As far as Keller, I've only been pleased there. 99% of their boxes come straight from Intertabak with the according quality control and i love the shop.
