Suspect siglo II 2018 from reliable vendor

Hi all again ,

since joining  this forum a few days ago I have learned a lot and have been examining  my collection with a renewed critical eye armed with new information gathered in this great forum .

Here  is a box of Siglo II box code 2018  from what has always been a reliable vendor. I paid top inflated recent prices for these  .

everything seemed to check out 

tax stamp , UV light ,habanos website

Hidden uv code on the band  ,

band seems to be well centered

everything looked good with the exclusion of this interior sticker on the wax paper inside the box   . The placement of the Taino head seems to be 1 square to high 

 

It smoked well, tastes great ,seems to taste like a cohiba to me however  recent information has called everything I thought I knew into question .

Please see photos attached and let me know if anything stands out to you and does this sticker look ok to you ?

Do the micro codes on the green warranty seal match the number above the bar code?

If it does there is nothing to be gained by questioning things.

I have several believed to be high Quality  fakes with matching micro codes on the green warranty seal ,see my posts in this forum yesterday on BHK and robusto however those had other issues and were not from a reliable vendor .

I cannot see the micro codes on this one as it’s covered by a smoking Kills sticker .

The gap in the C in Cuba on the band is a good tell of band authenticity. Counterfeit bands often do not have the gap. 

In the wacky world of Cuban Cigars my #1 rule is trust your vendor.

My guess is that seals with matching micro code numbers indicate a genuine box. Obviously you can put fake cigars in a real box.

Also real bands are not hard to come by.

So a dedicated faker can get real boxes and bands. That leaves you with cigar construction and the smoke test.

In the case of siglo II you can't even rely on construction or smoking unless you really trust you palette as what is to stop the faker from putting Cohiba bands on PLPCs?

As other have said, find a trusted vendor.

I agree with what the others have said. When comparing yours to my cabs things seem to match up.

Looking for a gap in the C is one of my first go to checks when someone asks about fakes. Doesn't help if it's a real band obviously. If you trust the vendor and it passes the smoke test then I think you're in good shape.

Thank you for your insight .

The vendor has been very reliable to date .I have just received an overload of fantastic new information since joining this forum that has caused me to re-examine and question everything .I figured worth posting about it to see if anything stood out besides the sticker .

As far as taste and construction test it passes ,To me the notes seem to clearly be Cohiba
