great run indeed

I will be thrilled if my Land Rover made it to hand back next July without going in for another major infraction.

Motor on a Honda gave out?  Even with that kind of mileage, I’m surprised, the tranny usually gives first!  Mind if I ask model and year?

Gotta say, Honda products are strong. Rebuilt a tranny on a minivan w 120k miles that drove like new only to have it rear ended and totaled. Got a nice insurance check and wife went w a big Lexus truck that now has 140k miles. Just getting broken in.
sorry you didn’t get to turn to 500k. That would have been one helluva milestone.

I just turned in a Range Rover 2017 on a 3 year lease. It sucked. Needed different tires for winter/summer. Warning lights from the beginning. These cars were/are only (mostly) labor of love. Get a Toyota or a BMW, depending on your price preferences. Still regretting selling my 4Runner.....I will get another one.

Love Hondas. First decent car 20 years ago was a ‘00 accord, put 300k mi on it and only had to replace wheel bearings. Then went on to buy a VW, a couple Jeep grand cherokees, and a GMC Yukon. Only to wish I bought an ‘08 accord instead.

Finally went back to Honda and got a ‘19 ridgeline. Already hit 45k. Like you, hoping to hit 500k.

What’s the new model going to be?

Not sure yet....   looked at a RAV4 TRD Offroad.  The nice thing about that is I spend a fair bit of time driving in snow in Arizona.  It gets the same mileage as an Accord. Has XM, navigation, heated/ventilated seats.   Hatchback is nice too.    OR most probably a Touring Accord with similar features.
Sadly a manual is unlikely in these times.  The auto trans has just killed the manual appeal for most.

I got a '19 Ridgeline last summer. It's a great vehicle for me. The only gripe I have  is that the Honda infotainment system is difficult to master. It's really far too complex and not at all intuitive. Its the big flaw in Honda's products right now. It does have Apple car play and that's great but the audio and vehicle setting are complex and so numerous that it's impossible to remember all the little settings and controls.
