Your daily cheap and cheerful

I am new to this forum and started posting to the daily smoke post in the watering hole but it seems everyone posts their fancy cigars so I followed suit. PLMC seems the only cheap and cheerful I see.

I thought maybe start a daily thread here if others think it's a good idea.

My c&c of the day: Partagas mille fleurs.

Light rain so I'm on my front porch...

Smoking well 25 minutes in. This box had some tight draws but this one is just right (after a tiny touch of perfecdraw).

Edit: 60 minutes to the nub.

Half hour smoke time. Light pleasant smoke.

Had a Quintero panetela yesterday. Not enough smoke output for me.

A Montecristo Purito that wasn't harsh as it tends to be but actually had some cinnamon or spice flavour.

And a Fonseca Delicias. First one I've had. Didn't make much of an impression.

I have changed my daily from JLP Brevas to Por Larranage Panetela. I got two boxes last week for $58 each and I love them!

I have had plenty of PLPC and just received some well aged Panatela's. Going to let them sit for a few months. They look great

I bought some Fonseca KDT Cadetes (recommended on a C & C thread here a while back) and got a 2015 box.

They are surprisingly good--not complex but just a consistent, relaxing and pleasant little morning smoke with black coffee.

San Cristobal El principle '18
Pre light was a bouquet of light coco and a heavy floral scent. Almost wanted to bite it and eat it. Such a good smoke especially since it's been a while since I smoked one.

I am in the same boat, love them but have not had one in some time. Another to put on my list. 

 

Good thread, I need to add some cheap and cheerfuls to my rotation.

Have two boxes of Partagas Shorts on the way for under $200.

Trying to keep it C&C as it looks like I may get burned on customs for some not so C&C cigars... ?

Por Larranaga Panetela.

Pretty badly plugged. Perfecdraw most of the way through reduced it to merely tight. About halfway through the draw opened up and it improved a lot. On the other hand tight draw have me a one hour smoke time ? and I stayed out long enough to get a visit from my late night backyard skunk.

Very nice Partagas spice and pepper that I associate with Partagas C&C.

45 minute smoke time.

Vegueros Mananitas from '15 these have been really enjoyable and have never failed me. Always been a reliable cheap n cheerful.

I love Mananitas! I regret not buying them a couple weeks ago when Montefortuna had them for $103 for two boxes. I could only find the 5% promo, I was looking for a 10%.

Super partagas REG MAR 19.

These never let me down. First from the box and nice draw and great smoke production. Straight pepper flavour. After a very disappointing box of Partagas mille fleurs that was half plugged this was a nice change

I lit up one of my go to cheap and cheerfuls yesterday, a Quintero Panetela. Usually, I find these to be sweet with flavors of tobacco and baking spice, but this one was all cardboard and "thin". Sometime they're like that, but when they're on, they're really good.

 

Lit up another and it was plugged. Tried to do some work with a toothpick, but it wasn't salvageable . My perfec draw arrives tomorrow!

The perfecdraw is a real game changer. I hope you get as much use out of it as I do.

I love the idea of this thread. I confess I totally forgot about it. I've been testing a few new budget sticks and my fave was the quintero favorites from the bunch. Still nothing tops my RG perlas. The vegueros mantanias was a close second and JLP caszadores was third.

Seems like these are the cheapest "premium" long filler CC.

El Principe. Perfect morning cigar. Nothing too complex, just below medium bodied,great draw and burn plus the freaking awesome flavors. Just sitting here posting this my mouth is watering. I'm gonna have to add another box to my stash.

These are always worth having on hand. Sometimes they can be outstanding.

Keeping it rolling on the C&C's. HU Regalia BRE JUL 19. Not a bad little smoke for the $. This box has been spotty with some very tight draws but this cigar was very well behaved.
