Popular Post Habana Mike Posted April 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2020 This is one I've been sitting on for many years. Figured it is one of my most special sticks so with the contest and it being Easter, why not? Glorious silky smooth Colorado wrapper, quite firm roll with no soft spots. Clip it and the draw is perfect. Sweet and nutty notes on the cold draw. Cedar, nutmeg, currants. Time to fire this puppy up! Starts with loads of caramel, cocoa, moss and leather. Creamy mouthfeel Firm dirty gray ash. Holds on for almost an hour before dropping the first time. Cinnamon, white pepper, still the leather and a honeyed sweetness. Buttery brioche, Molasses. Leather to the end. Smoked perfectly throughout. 2.5 hours of bliss. A real sugar bomb. Wondering if Hamlet had anything to do with this. 97/100 - fantastic! 38 4

Euripidespants Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Had one of these to celebrate graduation in 2005. Don’t remember details but your description sounds similar to the experience I had. I remember it not tasting like any partagas I’ve ever had, medium bodied, great flavor, complex. Was outstanding and definitely in the top 10 of best cigars I ever had. 1
Popular Post PigFish Posted April 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2020 It is funny you picked that cigar Mike. I had this one on tap to smoke today but just did not want to spend this much time with a cigar today. I figured it would make the Bigun' category, but could not really find the time. I satisfied my "big cigar" urge with a Petit Robusto.? I am finding it harder and harder to want to spend a long time with the same cigar these days. Nice review, thanks for sharing! -R 5 1
Habana Mike Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 Nice looking stick Ray. That would’ve lasted you all afternoon!
Chucko8 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Great review and pictures thanks Mike. Way to bring out the Big Guns. Boom ? 1
Coloniales Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 I bought a the 155th Partagas Hunidor back in 1999 at the Partagas Shop. $500 USD ? I sold it sadly, for a great profit 5 years later. These were phenomenal cigars back then, smoked all my singles. Nice to hear they are still great. Keith.
