Ken Gargett Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 one friend insists that because the figures for north korea are zero infections, this must be a chinese plot against the west, the US in particular, the presidency, wall street and so on. yes, mad as a fruit cake. another was telling me that in fact there has been a one infection in north korea. however, the patient didn't die from the virus. instead, they shot him to prevent the spread (or for having the poor judgement to get infected). apparently, this might just be true. and you guys thought the world could not get any crazier.
Islandboy Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 I always think the world can get crazier...in fact I’m not really surprised by it anymore. 1
Subcomandante Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 My ex coworker tried telling me the same thing. I guess this is the one time it’s a good idea to be The Hermit Kingdom.

Chibearsv Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 My business partner gets his news from whoever is yelling the loudest on the internet each night and he blesses me (and others) daily with a rant of "facts" "that you need to understand" from around the world. They change daily and conflict with prior rants constantly and he insists he's 100% right about all of them. He's a stunning example of someone that doesn't have any kind of reasonable or logical filter for the pap he fills his ears with and then decides that his brilliance must be imparted to others. I'm afraid his trait is all too common. 1 1
Subcomandante Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Exactly. The kind that told me a couple weeks ago that CV is a worldwide hoax by liberals trying to get rid of the president or sink the economy and then get rid of the president. Telling me the death rate is the same as the regular yearly flus. Then the next week say that it’s China or Russia or North Korea creating this virus. So now all the best scientists in those countries created a virus to kill less people than the flu? Make up your mind already. 1 3

Popular Post Ryan Posted April 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 8, 2020 The book and movie "World War Z" (about a global zombie outbreak, not a bad film) had a nice touch. In that story, there was no zombie outbreak in North Korea because they closed any border (that wasn't already closed) and within 24 hours the government removed all the teeth of every citizen. No bites, no zombies. No such solution for this, unless the North Korean government has found a way to ban its citizens from opening their eyes or breathing for two weeks. 3 2

I get the govt info updates from her when I get home from work (outside all day alone, it's great, and it's the safest place to be), correct her in her misinterpretation and get told I know nothing. She then tells me the personal story of some poor person who has died of CV19 like there weren't 600 others in the UK that day too. And cats can get it apparently, her friend heard that... Popular Post Markspring1978 Posted April 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 8, 2020 Regardless of the tin hat theories...I am finding it impossible to believe that China has controlled this virus the way that they have claimed. Millions of people traveled in and out of Wuhan, prior to their lockdown. They infect the whole world, but somehow the rest of China is unscathed. I find this impossible to believe. So, either China is lying to the whole world about their infection numbers and deaths, a possibility that seems less plausible with every passing day. Or, there is something much more nefarious. I don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t seem good. 4 1

It's funny how conspiracy theorists look absolutely mad, but then you read social forums on the internet and realize that they have a support group that is feeding and fomenting their mindset. Anyone taking a step back realizes the insanity, but to them it is perfectly logical and ubiquitously known. NK certainly get some Chinese visitors, but I'm not sure many plan their holiday to go there. If you watch videos of the cities, they aren't exactly bustling. They may not see the virus as a known threat because of a mundane and hackneyed practice of social distancing even before the outbreak. This video is considered "Rush Hour" in Pyongyang. Or they could be full of it. That's also likely... All things are likely until known! that's my stance. 1
