MoeFOH Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Picked this up from the local bottle-o the other week. I'm still not sure why. Many other tried & true options in the same price bracket should have appealed more. Which has me pondering whether the marketing is pure genius or whether my idiocy has simply found new bounds. ? The label looks like a product of the office clown and the graphic design work-experience kid getting together after a long Friday lunch. To boot, it's from the Rockhampton Saleyards Distillery . Maybe only Aussies will understand the full sense of trepidation here, suffice to say that unless it's a T-bone steak you might have good cause to question anything from the Rocky saleyards, whilst running swiftly in the other direction. The case for my idiocy mounts. Seriously. That label. I don't know whether to applaud or vomit... I guess I'll probably drink the bottle and do both. Thoughts on this? What were they thinking? What was I thinking? Have you made similar purchases? Pics please. 2
dobbs Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 awesome post! i will admit to purchases more questionable than that (remember original four loko?), but don't think i have pics, i'll dig around though... -dobbs 1

Wookie Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Who gives a f---- about graphics. How does it taste? We have a new bourbon, rum etc distillery called Bully Boy in Boston that is working the marketing angle big. Everything I've tried from them has been sub par. Good luck with the booze....worst case make a whiskey cream pepper sauce for your strip steak.

Rupe Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 In my mind, nothing says "quality rum" more than fornicating goats ? RIP Gary....your spirit lives on. 1

Just don't become the guy who always keeps a bottle of horny goat rum on hand to shock and impress new friends (unless, of course, it's delicious, in which case, please send me a case immediately ?) 1
MrGlass Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I kind of regret not picking this up when I was transiting through Johannesburg, but I was already at my allowance with gin. The original purple party shooter. A great tasting alcohol, caffeine and taurine party starter! 750ml 24% ALC/Vol - $10AUD 1
busdriver Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 With that label, I would have bought a case! I think your restraint is admirable. 1
Chucko8 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Must be some classic Rockvegas juice that you've purchased there @MoeFOH Keen to hear how it went. They were never serving that up at the B&S Ball on New years eve that I used to attend back in the 90's. Lol 1
