Popular Post HumidorJuan Posted May 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2019 Was excited to see Vegas Robaina for the weekend review extravaganza, as @cbenham73 was just mentioning how much he recommends the Famosa, so I head down to my shop and my guy only had the Unicos in, NO complaints! Part 1: Just toasting it smelt like rich chocolate fudge. First puff was raspberries on a chocolate cake with sandalwood which hollowed out into classic American tobacco (think camels). And Coco hanging around in the background. Impeccable construction and perfect draw. Springy with an almost hollow feeling In the body of the smoke but it never burned wrong. In between the first and the second act it tasted like the smell of a beach party: campfire, sand, wood, s’mores just a little burnt and Coco still in the background. Part 2: Nougat. The Italian dessert “Tartufo” Or some boozy cake with a touch of rosewater, but I feel like there’s a red meat thing happening as well like the crust of a steak. (I get big peppery red meat off a Partagas D4, but this is more subtle). The draw is effortless and I’ll actually use the word supple. It got vegetative for a sec, than a Spring breeze through a rosebush on a night that it rained, but not floral. Classic American tobacco is back. Coca always in the background. Part 3: no big lovely flavour changes, the gummy, oily chemical taste of combustion slowly creeps in as my draws get more frequent in order to keep it lit and I lost interest once that began happening. Dang, what a stick! The construction was such a thing, it felt nice and squishy, but the wrap had a great surface tension to it as well. I need a few in my humi to see how it does years from now. BON APPETIT 8/10 12 1

rcarlson Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Looks like your car needs service. Hope the the gummy, oily chemical taste of combustion wasn't from a malfunctioning engine. ? (nice review) 1
