Popular Post Ryan Posted April 1, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 1, 2019 A little box of 5 Fonseca Petit Coronas from the 50s are the oldest I can think of. The only Fonseca I've seen without the tissue. It hasn't moved from the same storage keep in 60 years. I have a few "Clear Havanas" from the 1920s. 21 4
BuzzArd Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I have a box of Macanudo with jade wrappers still in plastic wrap. Made in Jamaica, so they’re prior to Y2K. Seem to me they’re a panatella or similar. They’re skinnies for sure. I know right where they are in the humidor too, which is odd because so much gets lost in those cabinets.... I don’t remember where I got them or why I have them. ? 2
jazzboypro Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 My oldest cigar is a 2011 esplendido and my oldest box is Partagas 8-9-8 LAR MAY 12 2
wineguy Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I have a 50 cab of 2002 Partagas coronas that I bought as aged stock here a few years ago and they are about half smoked. They are very mellow and sublime and I find them very enjoyable. 2
Jbhunter223 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Some “clear havanas” from the 40’s. And a 2001 box of Diplomaticos no. 3. 4

The strongest cigar I’ve smoked. Not sure what to make of them. Is it normal for a cigar that old to be unbearably bitter? I bought them from a legitamite lcdh. Was a sort of impulse buy when I first started buying boxes Can you define "strong"? Is that in relation to the bitter taste you discuss, or do they also have a lot of power (i.e. nicotine)?
CooGAR Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 A Cuesta Rey clear Havana from the mid-50s....about the size of a lonsdale. Need to smoke it soon. 3

mtd057 Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 1999 Punch Churchills. Purchased 4 from a LCDH about a year ago. Smoked one recently and was surprised at how much flavor and nicotine it possesed. I felt like i needed to lay down after that one! 2

ha_banos Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Got what I think is an 1980s Davidoff no.2. Partagas 898 1980. And a box of 9 Los Statos Selectos from the 70s. Smoked one which had that nice mellow sweetness, but was quite mild. Smoked a 1971 RyJ Coronas last month. Also was pleasant, mellow, sweet. 3
shippers Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Two Sancho Panza Sanchos from 1999 in perfect condition - not a single crack or blemish. Brought from St James 1A - the now unfortunately closed Dunhill store in London. They used to have a few vintage options which were very reasonably priced by UK standards. They are earmarked. One for when I finally buy my first house (almost through the laborious process now!) and another for after I get married next year. 4
Popular Post Jack Posted August 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted August 18, 2021 Tough to date most of these One is a Romeo y Julietta Churchill, assumed to be pre-revolution. Tube was originally sealed with cloth tape. Marked on tube "Romeo y Julieta, S.A., Havana." The second tube is a H. Upmann Coronas Major in a cardboard tube labeled "Provisional War Packaging." Assumed to be WWII era. In the second photo is a Hoyo de Monterrey "Monterrey". The cedar sheet inside is dated "1956" with some note on the person who gifted it. Cuban tax stamp on the cigar, under the band. Third photo is a couple of Partagas Visible Inmensos that I've shared some pictures of before, here and elsewhere. Pre-revolution, but hard to tell beyond that. Perforated warranty seals (Pre-1961), and double-ring "Made in Havana - Cuba" brand marks (pre-1962). Additionally one has a "G" U.S. import stamp on the bottom. All are in good condition, except for the Upmann - which has seen better days. 6
Fox Sterlingworth Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I had about half a box of these what I’m guessing were 1950’s Belindas scored at a local country auction for $2! I slowly brought them back to life, and smoked and shared them over about a 5 year period. This is the last one I smoked last New Years and sadly the oldest in my humidor now is a 1999 5 pack of RyJ PCs. 4
