  1. I haven’t really got anything to add as it seems every base has been covered. Just wondering if you’re taking applications for new friends? An incredibly generous present, I just hope he has deep pockets for the rabbit hole this is going to lead him down! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Party Short with a strong espresso. Solid combo as always Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Mainly PC’s and Robustos for me. If I had more time there would be a lot more Piramides being smoked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ve lived in London my entire life, it’s a great city to visit as even after 32 years I feel like there’s always something new to do or see. I’ve smoked at the Corinthia a handful of times, although outside it’s very well covered with heaters, blankets and seats you really sink into so the cold wasn’t much of an issue. However I’d recommend Boisdales above anywhere you’ve mentioned. They have I think 4 venues across London, I’d suggest the one just by Victoria station. There’s a rooftop smoking terrace where you can take your own or buy there but the prices are steep as you’d probably guess. The service is amazing, drinks are very good, they do sell food also but I’ve never eaten there. It gets very lively, no reservations so I’d get there early if that’s when you plan on going. Non cigar related but if you’re looking for food/drinks with a view I’d highly recommend Sushi Samba over any of the choices at the Shard which I assume would be the most obvious choice. There’s also a roof terrace at Sushi Samba but I’m unsure if you’re able to smoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Personally I’d sell and reinvest into as much regular production I could get with the proceeds. Depends on your stash though, if you’ve got more than you can see yourself smoking, there’s no need for more so smoke them unless you need the cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’m fortunate enough to travel to Europe a couple of times a year so I very rarely if at all purchase in the UK. Of course FoH has been great as well so very thankful for that. Some Swiss vendors aren’t currently shipping to the UK due to customs issues. Fortunately I only smoke a couple of times a week at most, less in the winter so it’s not an issue now travel is pretty much open to Europe again, just hoping there’s actually some stock left next time I manage to get there. 8. I think the biggest problem for pricing is going to to be the apparently recent huge demand from the Asian market which is going to keep the demand very high. I think that consumption has gone up during Covid due to working from home or not at all if you were placed on Furlough in the UK coupled with having to stay in or at least not be able to travel meaning people have had more disposable income. Also a box of D4 in the UK is around £600-650 so about $800ish so $300 definitely won’t stop that market [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The chances of me quitting are slim but I’ll definitely be smoking more PC’s and less Robustos and larger formats. It will be interesting to see if the prices come back to a pre Covid level once supply is back to 100% in the next 12-18 months. I’m probably being a bit too hopeful though tbh. 12. This is from one of the first boxes I ever bought a couple of years ago. When I first got into cigars I thought Robustos were the best place to start so I bought a box of RASS, D4, and Epi 2 which all seemed to be the ones which everyone always recommended. Of the 3 the Epi 2’s have been poor, the D4’s excellent and the RASS a bit of both. This is the first I’ve had since at least the spring but maybe not since autumn last year, I can’t quite remember. Nice dark wrapper, one large vein through the centre. Straight cut the top cap for a perfect draw, very slight resistance. Paired with a single malt Islay whiskey and a beer. RASS have the most unique flavour of anything I’ve ever smoked. It’s like charcoal but with a hint of sweetness. Retro is super smooth, burn is perfect. Construction was almost perfect throughout, a minor touch up on one side. Flavour profile remained pretty consistent throughout, only noticeable difference was a bit more spice on the retro in the final third. I’d guess the charcoal is what is commonly described as mongrel, the sweetness is so distinct to this stick I’d think that must be the stone fruit that people pick up. My palate isn’t refined to actually pick up those flavours, I’m just assuming that’s what more experienced smokers note them as. Either way it was a wonderful smoke. Back into the humidor these go until early summer next year, I think there’s 17 left in the box, a cab of these is definitely on the to buy list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I am indeed, just on the SE London/Kent border. I think when the clocks go back next month it’s not as bad. Probably doing me a favour waking up to everything sold out for the past 6 months to be honest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I don’t doubt you at all with that. Definitely going to pick up a 1/4 box but the time difference makes 24:24 difficult from the UK. Our clocks change at the end of next month so I think that makes it an hour earlier here so a bit easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. But saying that I’ve grabbed a couple of clearance boxes that have also been excellent, the RyJ Petit Royales on Clearnace are the ones that stick in my mind as being very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’ve got some PSP Dip 2’s and they are by far the best smokes I think I’ve ever had, incredible start to finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Purchased a couple of singles of these around 8 months ago, smoked one at the beginning of summer, this one has been sitting in my humidor at around 63% rh for the 8 Months. Wrapper has a slight sheen to it, cut around the top cap opens a perfect draw, slight resistance but easily smokeable. Paired with a black coffee to start, flavour is straight cedar and slight spice. Smooth on the retro. Ash holds on perfectly for the first third, thick smoke that coats the tongue. Flavour is predominantly cedar with some leather, retro has a nice spice but nothing too strong. Into the final third, construction has been perfect, one slight touch up not long after this picture when the band was removed. Flavour turned more to a strong leather, spice picked up on the retro but remained smooth. Now paired with a single malt Islay whiskey and Dr Pepper. Medium bodied throughout the 90ish minute smoke time. Nothing to complain about but also nothing special to note, overall a nice smoke. Would I buy more? Maybe a quarter box of recent production on 24:24 but I wouldn’t rush to buy a box based on the couple I’ve had so far. I’ve been smoking through an amazing box of Short De Punch, those would be my choice over these any day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
