Tollickd
Hey all hope everyone is good Ok my local shop here in Cyprus has a few boxes and singles the singles are 42eur or box for 500eur I have seen in a lot of places not many places seem to have them in stock or when they do they have a huge price now. Are they worth getting a few for my humidor or for only 30 eur more I can get the Cohiba Talisman also is it worth the hype? I have seen a lot of people saying they are amazing but these review are from when they first came out! Does the web have a site that takes the average price of cigars so we can see what the current price is Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lotusguy
I am firmly in the "they are amazing" camp. I regret selling a couple of my boxes. If they are worth the current price is more of a personal decision. They used to be around $350/box for quite a while.

Markspring1978
Good news is that this size will become regular production for Trinidad this year.

Yes I saw this and it’s a good point will the LE be more rare or a different blend to the new release Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guest Nekhyludov
I hate to be disagreeable, but I did not enjoy the three Topes that I smoked at all. To me, every LE wrapper tastes the same - heavy, with an oily cocoa note. That flavor tends to pair well with Monte and RyJ blends, but I thought it clashed badly with the earthy, mushroom profile I get from Trinidad. My two cents is that the Topes was just a bad blend and a really unpleasant tasting cigar. YMMV of course.
mbflash80
Very very good cigar...i do not think the regular production will approach it...

ElJavi76
Worth enough hype that I ran out and bought 4 boxes when they were still available. It's rich. Dense. Full of flavor. It's one of the best LE's I've personally smoked. If you can get them do it. If they have an extra box let me know. Happy hunting!
captain
One of my favorite sticks..for me they are worth the price. For you perhaps they aren’t...try one and see.

ElJavi76
Prices for the LE version will continue to rise. I'm sure the reg production stick will be very good. The only way the LE boxes that remain out there tank in price is if the new one is better or what not. €500 is a lot of money but get em while you can. If you think it's too steep then buy a handful. It's a 95-96 point cigar in my book.
MD Puffer
Hmmm, difficult question to answer. If you send me a few I’ll try them out and let you know if they’re worth it or not.

Islandboy
I picked up a trio of singles last summer, long gone now. 2 were quite memorable, one was meh on the tasteless side. Overall, the tastiest Trinidads I've had to date. And that includes being more enjoyable than the handful of fundadores I've had I'm interested in knowing from those who've had both, how they compare to La Trova. Hookmaker
Divine is also the word I will use. I flew around European outposts and gathered a good stock. The last box I picked up in the shop in Nicosia Xmas 2017 - it was 265 Eur. A couple of boxes sold this weekend at auction for 450 GBP ex commissions ! The new regular Topes will definitely not be the same, but who knows, it might be better??
BJRPorter
It’s a very tasting cigar, but, to me, that price is way too high. There are aged regular production that are as good, better, and less expensive.
stunod
One of the best LE’s I’ve had in a long time. Defiantly worth buying a box for sure.
Piligrim
that EL got much better since release. smoked one last week, definetely amazing cigar! I regret I've sold them too early and left only a few for me.
ha_banos
I bought one recently €300! And I know that was a great price. Was a grey import though... But looks good, was sealed, looks good compared to few singles I have. I guess that's why price wasn't sky high?
Fugu
If Trinidad were traditional Barolo the Topes is a Mendoza Malbec (mixed with Coke ).
havanaclub
Still wishing I pulled the trigger on 24:24 when they were on clearance at around 269 if I recall. That’s when not too many people wanted them due to the “absurd ring gauge”. Similar to the Vigia, then everyone wanted them. Still haven’t tried the topes and wish I bought some. I love trinny too.
