Got some jade statues from my parents for my office desk .

Carved from a single piece of jade. Each piece on the inside freely moves.

Some booze from friends.

Umm slippers, socks, Amazon vouchers, hoodie, t shirts, perfecdraw!, Shirt, set of bed sheets.

 

Funny thing is now I have 2 perfecdraw because I bought my BIL one for Xmas too so I picked one up for myself. He did the same thing so now we both have two! Lol.

Wife got me a nice cutter and a slick single cigar ashtray made out of wood. She also got me a gift card to the local smoke shop. I didn't even know the shop offered gift cards. Winner!

My favorite gift that we got was cancelled port calls and a month extension tacked onto this current deployment.

My wife opened a few gifts for me and sent pictures, I still have a bunch of gifts at home waiting for me to get there. What she opened was a new Bubinga bottomless portafilter and tamp for my espresso machine, and 2 boxes of Crowned Heads Le Careme Belicoso Fino LE 2018 (Top 5 favorite cigar of 2018). Can't fault her for the cigars, they're excellent and she doesn't know the magic of 24:24 to surprise me with Cubans.

Regardless, I'd be interested to trade some cigars for some whiskeys with you! I've tried loads of scotches but haven't had many bourbons. He made me a huge fan of Four Roses but haven't tried much else.

I prefer 4 Rose's Small Batch over the Single Barrel. The fact that it's $25-$30 ,doesn't hurt my feelings either. 

That 130 barrel proof likes interesting.  I picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig Barrelproof last week. Very strong caramel notes which were awesome.  Small sips were key though.

My wife and I agreed not to exchange gifts this year and to reign in our spending since we're planning a vacation in January. Of course, I'm a liar and bought her an expensive pair of shoes she wanted, and today this landed at our door ...

I received the best gift I could have hoped for. My daughter's boyfriend asked for my blessing and permission to marry her. He is a wonderful young man and my daughter loves him very much. I gave him my blessing,  he proposed and she said yes. She is as happy as I have ever seen her. What more could a father want.
