hunterbeav Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Does this look like Beatle damage ? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
NSXCIGAR Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Not to my eyes. Although it does look a little like Ringo. He's my favorite. 3
Pag Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Looks like a puncture wound to me .. at the same time the size looks consistent with a beatle. May need some more pictures. Get a white piece of paper and tap the cigar over it. If there is fine tobacco dust or beatle poop you have a problem Houston. Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk 1
JeffreyLebowski Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Looks like something impacted your cigar. Now maybe with a closer shot we could determine how round the hole is, and so better guess whether a beetle also just happened to have bored out at that spot. 1
Popular Post cfc1016 Posted November 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 29, 2018 Beatle damage? Edit. Short answer: No. if you’re really worried though, here’s a good test. Hold the cigar over a white piece of paper, foot down. Flick the side of the cigar. If a whole bunch of tiny particulate gunk falls out, it’s beetle poop. Freeze em for a few days and stop worrying. 4 2
NSXCIGAR Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 FYI, beetle holes are going to be almost perfectly round and look hollow, almost like the cigar was stabbed with a sharp pencil tip through the wrapper and binder. The beetle burrows right through to the filler. And fairly large, usually at least 1-2mm in diameter. 2
nKostyan Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 It could have been a Beatle.... but only such as this: 2 1

Pierre Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 This looks identical to a Don Alejandro that I received about a month ago. Some cigars were shipped to me in an empty cigar box, the box's little nail wasn't straight and ended making a hole in e cigar when the box was closed. Pretty sure it could be what happened to you.

Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk Yes, it definitely looks the same, if you received it as a single, It looks like the person who shipped it didn't see it or didn't care. IMHO it is hard not to see if it is a single. It doesn't look like beetle damage at all and anyway, you would really have bad bad luck if the beetle damage happened during shipping!
