50 cabs

Anyone seen any 50 cabs lately? I’m on the hunt for a 50 cab of Punch Punch with a box date of March this year as a gift for my best mate who had twins in March. 

Are they putting these out???

Pretty sure the Punch Punch 50s have been discontinued. Just the rare 50 cab of Lusi and of course PLPC.

I guess I could just buy 2 boxes and fill them in an empty one and write a fake box code. He probably wouldn’t know the difference.

RASS are available in 50 cabs too!!

Haven't seen Punch Punch. I've got Lusi, Epicure No2, PLPC, P.Shorts, and RASS.

Punch Punch in 50 cabs were discontinued last year, so you won’t find any 2018 date codes.

50 cabs are available for only 7 regular production cigars after the Punch Punch and Punch Double Coronas 50 cabs were discontinued in 2017. These are...

1. Partagas Shorts 

2. Por Larranaga Petit Coronas 

3. Partagas Lusitanias 

4. Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas 

5. Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2's

6. Ramon Allones Specially Selected 

7. Juan Lopez Seleccion No.2's.

It's believed, but not confirmed, that the Saint Luis Rey Double Coronas have been discontinued since 2014. Also, on a personal note, I've not seen 50 cabs of Juan Lopez Seleccion No.2's for awhile.

Yes, they were on a 24:24 listing this week.

It was. Hdm DC have been up, but not since a little after new years iirc. They are high on my list too, but I always blow my budget just before they pop up.

Last time I saw and bought any in Havana was November 2017 but they were 2015 box dates. None to be found in March of this year. I’d love to come across another cab hiding somewhere in Havana this November but I really doubt it.

My apologies. It was a 25 cab. I just conducted a thorough search and I found 50 cabs of Partagas Shorts and Lusitanias, Por Larranaga Petit Coronas and Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2's in the last few months, but I couldn't locate an instance of a recent listing of 50 cab of Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas from the last few months.

However, I do think they are around and they have been listed on 24:24 in 2018.

My last cab I bought of HdM DC, was last December. Got a cab DIC 16 on 24 24.

Yeah have those for myself. I was after a cab of Punch since my friend smoked a few out of a box I had for safe keeping at his house while moving and he commmented on how much he liked them. He also enjoyed opening and partaking from a pristine box of ERDM Lonsdales too!

Okay, so I've conducted a very thorough search this time and I can report that Hoyo de Monterrey 50 cabs were available on 24:24 in late April and on another instance in early June 2018. There was also an aged box listed in mid-July. Interestingly, the box codes were ROE Dic 2016, which now begs the further question, perhaps to be answered in another thread, of whether anyone has seen a 2017 box code of 50 cab Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas.

Also, I managed to locate the reference 50 cab thread from late 2015 which lists a history of 50 cab packaging...

I may have been wrong, aboht getting the HdM cab last  December. But the code is DIC 16, last one I have seen. I do remembet and that they were offered more than once.

I have all  of the above in 50s except shorts  as well as Punch Punch but have never seen JL2s in 50s... Would love to have those...

I have two 50 cabs of HdM DC and they are both 16,  RUE DIC 16 and UGE SEP 16, both purchased here.

I have a feeling that the last JL2 50 cabs bear the marking ORA ABR 14.

My last two cabs of HDM DCs were purchased in Dec 2017 sourced elsewhere and from 24:24 this year.  I remember missing them once or twice then finally scoring one on 24:24 so must have been the June sale.  Both ROE DIC 16.  These cabs have deffinately been scarce.  I can only imagine how beautiful a recent production cab would be with the leaf they are using today versus what the had to work with in Dec of 2016.

Got a cab of RASS about  week ago on 24:24. The last few months I have seen PLPC, Epi 2, Lusi, Party Shorts and RASS on 24:24.
