Darwin Award Finalist?

Like someone else said in the other thread about perfect draw: I must be a lucky bastard. It's really, really rare to have a so plugged cigar. Maybe one among 50-100 cigars.

My lord why didn’t I buy this earlier. I picked up a box of Hoyo Epicure Especial’s a few months back on a 24:24 and really enjoy the flavors. Problem is every 3rd one is too tight to enjoy. Smoking m

Since i have been storing my cigars around 60- 61% RH, I have noticed a significant reduction in plugged cigars. Probably less than 1%.

I store mine at 60-61% as well. Try to dry box as much as possible. It helps but some are just overfilled and need a little extra work. The perfect draw has been perfect for that.

Not a case for a draw-poker then.

Well due to the love shown for the PerfecDraw tool I decided to order one, excited to test it out as I've got a few boxes that have a very tight draw!

Not sure if the prices have changed but the PerfecDraw site is currently selling them for $24.99 instead of $39.99 I saw on Amazon.

Brilliant tool. It’s also a great nubber.

I was thinking I was going to try it as a Nubber as well, the modus has this double prong thing that did tempt me but it looked too big for my liking.

I don't think the double prong of the Modus is that much more effective if at all more effective than the Perfecdraw as a nubber. The barbed end of the Perfecdraw screws in to a nub tightly and is very solid.

I think the Perfecdraw makes the Modus obsolete, particularly since the Modus is generally higher priced. There's also another tool called the Redeemer which is basically a Modus with a few more notches in it and costs $80.

I think the Perfecdraw is by far the best tool of its kind and it's very reasonable price is icing on the cake.

Great, thanks for the additional review info, I'm really excited to get mine now, with shipping though it could be a few weeks before it arrives to HK.

Well I've had it for a few weeks now and have to say very happy with the results, I had to use it on a RYJ Cazedores, Connie 1, Partagas Presidentes & Lusitania.

The only one it didn't fix was the Lusitania but really happy with it and definitely fixes a lot of issues with plugged cigars.  My Connie 1's in particular are really bad, basically the whole box has been plugged but since getting this I've smoke a couple with no issues and can enjoy the cigar rather than fighting to keep it lit and getting a decent draw.

One question, how to you keep it clean? the Barbs seem to grip on the tobacco really solidly and having to prise out the bits is tricky, what is the easiest method that works for you?

I've found the best way to clean out the small bits is to take the band off your cigar and fold it into a square or something close to that.  Then you run that folded up band down the spines of the perfect draw several times -- usually works like a charm for me.

Blowing on it seams to work fine for me. I am a big advocate of perfecdraw too. With the construction inconsistency in CC's, it sure makes me more comfortable with my purchases. Have a great weekend!

Recently got mine, no ragrets.  Works great but like mentioned above please be very careful as it's very sharp!

the owner/creator is a dental surgeon.

he knows how to make a quality product.

my friend, who is an engineer, but not a cigar smoker, took one look at the Perfecdraw and said, "that's well made, likely not from China".

It is very well made!

I will have to grab one.   I could have really used one of these back in the day before Onyx renamed their cigars.   They were named with numbers and they were very good cigars but consistently had issues with horrible draw.  I think the pyramids were numbered 852

you are correct.

some unfortunate soul received a poor quality, f'ed up tool.

Rod immediately rectified the situation.

Great guy!

Best cigar accessory out there imo. Pay for it self when you save a cigar or two.

I disagree. The best is a lighter, second is a cutter. :P
