In my experience, if you have to ask, "is this a good idea?" then the answer is always "no, of course not."

Much like the lady who got her face ripped off by an chimp, you get the feeling these people will come to realise wild animals don't like to wear novelty clothes and eat donuts all day

After reading about them as pets, I think they may have not done their research.

Before I read the story, I thought at first that she had given birth to the Joeys.

Thanks for that!  Needed the laugh!!:2thumbs:

They can get tame wallabies would be a better choice or a cockatoo would not consider having one as a pet. Remember running into a 2 meter tall kangaroo in the bush when I was on a camping trip as a kid impressive animals look like they are on steroids.

If you have a property big enough then it can work.

I am confident in saying this situation will fail. Which is sad.

I say get them to a year old and have a great barbecue.

Merry Christmas, y'all.

Thanks Uncle Festa!  Hope you and yours had a grand Christmas and have a great New Year!

My old boss (very nice but eccentric lets say) had some "pet" kangaroos. However she had a large semi rural property so it worked. Still pretty bizarre though she would spend thousands of dollars on vet bills if they got sick etc.

My thoughts exactly.  It has become a huge Charle Foxtrot here.  I just can't fathom some peoples thought process.

This guy is getting a good ribbing for this.  Did he not take a page out of Siegfried and Roy's tiger problem?

In my experience that question is followed by "I didn't say it was a good idea, I said I can't think of a good reason why I shouldn't try it."

Roos are dumber than a bag of wet mice.  They do not make good pets.  Hell, they do not even make good steak, IMO.

The best thing you can say of them is that they are good for tourism.

All that money and fame sometimes only buys you a bucket load of stupid.

They can be gentle creatures or on the other hand they can disembowel you with a single kick.
