El Presidente Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 ....and why? Check your second half 17 boxes 2
Puros Y Vino Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Odd. On a similar vein. We found a whole bunch of RASS 50 cabs in Havana with no box codes at all. 1
Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted December 6, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 6, 2017 perhaps you should stop sourcing the boxes from the bloke on the corner outside the factory. 4 1
chris12381 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I have a nice box of Upmann No. 2s from you with no stamp whatsoever. 1 1

LordAnubis Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 What boxes are they pres? Smallish cigars? As if some bloke was stamping DCs and couldn’t be arsed changing the jig and just thought “yeah this’ll fit on”. I’ll start a “fake or not” thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bartolomeo Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Seen all Cohiba Talisman boxes(both from IG and from Euro release) w that lower stamp and boxcode at the bottom rather than centrally located have not seen it on other 2017 boxes I have bought
Popular Post Lotusguy Posted December 6, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 6, 2017 With the new huge warning labels in Europe, moving the stamp location made sense so they aren't completely covered by them. 8 1
Cubadust Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 With the new huge warning labels in Europe, moving the stamp location made sense so they aren't completely covered by them. I think this is the reason. Squared Slide Lid Boxes like Cohiba Robusto and Epi2 and smaller boxes usually have the box code covered with the warning sticker. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Ryan Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I think the health warning stickers are the reason too. France has the big stickers in place already, I haven't been able to read a boxcode on a box of cigars in Charles de Gaulle airport since February last year or so. The new location will help for a while. Soon boxcodes will have to go inside the lids too.

SignalJoe Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 This should slow down the counterfeiters...for a week or two.

Turns out they're pre-embargo, that's why Customs let them through. So go ahead and pencil in "AGO 61" on the back with a sharpie! Trust me! My unmarked box was from a couple years ago, and it has turned into some of the darkest, yummiest cigars in my humi. Lovely Upmann!
BrandonW Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 As mentioned before, its to offset those stupid warning stickers. It started with EL Laguito. I have a few 2017 boxes with same offset stamp.
