BTWheezy Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Grew up on Angus, Malcolm, Phil, Bon/Brian. Basically they were the soundtrack of my youth. So many great songs...what’s your Top 3? For me: Sin City Dirty Deeds For Those About to Rock
BrightonCorgi Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Tough one... AC/DC is more about a vibe than a song. It's all one big glorious song... Let Me Put My Love into You For Those About to Rock R&R Ain't Noise Pollution 1
JohnS Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 As many may know, we had a karaoke segment to finish off Havanathon and the AC/DC song Thunderstruck was a fantastic way to close it! My Top 3 are... It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Want to Rock'n'Roll) You Shook Me All Night Long Back in Black 3
daustinhartman Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Hells Bells It’s A Long Way to the Top Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap of interesting note, my dad took me to see them live when I was 16 because he wanted me to see all of the legends while they could still actually rock. His plan started at age 4 when he took me to see Guns and Roses and Aerosmith together during their hey day and I’ll be forever greatful of his forethought of bringing me to shows, even when I wondered why. 1
BTWheezy Posted November 19, 2017 Author Posted November 19, 2017 Taking a 4 year old to GnR and Aerosmith?? That is so awesome! Thunderstruck karaoke...pay good money to see that!
Auspaul Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Cant pick a top 3 they made records that all the songs were excellent 1

I also learned a few new words during Aerosmith’s set. Steven Tyler was being pelted with bottles and screamed a few F bombs and some really graphic threats.

rckymtn22 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I also grew up on AC/DC. Sad to see these old bands coming to an end. 1. Highway to Hell 2. Back in Black 3. Shoot to thrill Hard to pick 3
Akela3rd Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 After research this morning (my neighbours love me dearly) I've settled on :Hell Ain't a Bad PlaceThunderstruckBack in BlackI love It's A Long Way To the Top but those bloody bagpipes still grate after all these years. On a side note for Ken/Rob :When Ramones first played London back in '76 a review of the 30 minute gig said that they "only had two songs, a fast one and a slower one, fortunately both are very good "Thunder & Lightening '75 - '15

Akela3rd Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 all great songs. my point to cardinal whipcrack is that they are not that different. Agreed, which is why it works. And as I sit here quietly having an early morning RG Perla on a cold London day, having played a bit of AC/DC for the last couple of hours (apologies to Marco and family next door) the analogy between that element and CCs comes to me - they're all basically the same, from the same stock and formula but each subtly different and distinct and generally very good. The extrapolation of this could then be which cigar is which AC/DC track? The Bonn Scott era are obviously the discontinued lines. I'll leave that to others, I think I've had too much coffee already... Thunder & Lightening '75 - '15
JC67 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Do you know that Malcom played the lead and rhythm guitars on Stevie Wright’s classic.. Evie? Shoot to thrill Cold hearted man Back in black
ayepatz Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Whole lotta Rosie. Touch too much. For those about to rock.
madandana Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Top 3 ? ....Kind of like asking which of my children I love most. I'm glad we got to play tribute to them at Havanathon.
Warren Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 My favourite was always the KiWi anthem. Dirty deeds done to sheep. The other was. It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll. 1
Engineer99 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 I always loved the "Flick of the Switch" record. Maybe it was just the timing in my life, but those songs are so raw sounding and really great. Classic AC/DC. RIP Mal Young....
Engineer99 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 This was my seminal AC/DC experience...borrowed a tape from a friend and listened to it nonstop for some insane amount of time......
SCgarman Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 1. Problem Child 2. Shot down in flames 3. It's a long way to the top Many many more!
