Popular Post Luca Posted November 18, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2017 Ramon Allones Small Club Corona LEP JUN 16: RSS Weekend Review Comp Length: 4.4 Inches (110 mm) Ring Guage: 42 Hi FoH, Ramon Allones or as I like to call them....Raymond All-Ones (TIC haha) small club coronas were a purchase I made not too long ago. I have been thinking about smoking the last one from this box for quite some time now. A good excuse to smoke this noting that the weekend review comp has come around now. Pre-Light Draw: Nice easy draw with just a touch of resistance. Perfect in my opinion. The taste of the pre-light draw had slight notes of dark chocolate/coffee "powder". Very nice. First Third: Very light taste of "watered down" coffee. Best way to describe it. Mild body. A slight nutty taste as well is also coming through. Smoke is great. Big plumes of smoke and a nice even burn (FYI I left this to dry box the night before - about 9-10 hours). Nice ash too. Side Note: Always wear the correct gear when smoking. Yes this is me...Smoking Fez and Smoking Jacket. Yes it is hot here in Sydney. I do not care. I feel it is my duty to wear this attire when having a cigar! Anyways.... Second Third: Flavor, body and strength of this RASCC has ramped up... a lot! Almost a bit too strong for me to have as a morning brekkie smoke. Strong coffee notes and dark chocolate. Still quite enjoyable. Almost a razor sharp burn and smoke output is pretty good. Final Third: The body has died down a tad. Notes of coffee and nuts are still present. I am getting a slight "bready" taste too. Conclusion: Is it value? Yes. Is this something you need to have in your humidor? Yes. For me personally - I would not have this as a morning brekkie smoke as it is a bit on the strong side for me. RASCC whilst small...it packs a punch and also delivers some great consistent flavors. Smoke time was around 20-25 minutes for me. Thanks for reading! Luca 18

Romka Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Well done. You always have my vote as long as you keep that Fez on. It is written as 'Fes' here, where it was invented, and pronounced as in the 'festival'. No one wears it for the last 90 years, though. Below is the link to Ottoman army attack march. In order to have the complete experience, please listen to this enhusing anthem before you light up. 2
CrankYanker Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 20-25 minutes....you must have been warm 1
fabes Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 Bold to smoke the small club coronas in the morning hours! Nice review! 1
Danimalia Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 This is a great review and Allones Small Club Coronas are great cigars. God, I'd love an Allones Regular Club Corona. Maybe some day in the new Linea Retro they'll offer them! 1

Thank you for sharing. Funnily enough my friend and I are trying to make Turkish coffee this morning with the Ottoman Army attack music playing in the background. Romka Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Luca, you are the man. Drop me a line brother, if you ever come to Istanbul. For me there is nothing like a cigar paired by Turkish coffee and company of a good friend. 2

Let me know if you ever get the chance to wander on down to Australia too! 1 hour ago, Romka said: Btw, RG Perlas pairs great with coffee. Yes I agree. I have some Perlas at the moment and they are great for a morning smoke.

It was quite excellent, and I imagine it would be great with a cigar. I resolved to return based on how much I enjoyed my one day there, so hopefully not too far in the future. 1
Romka Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 @Danimalia Glad you liked Turkey and Turkish coffee. You are always welcome, my friend. Anytime. Just let me know in advance so that I will make sure there is more than shorties in my humidor. 2
NSXCIGAR Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Great to see the venerable RASCC back to form after an inconsistent 2013/14 run. Always been a cigar I've had great luck with and one of my favorites over the last decade. I've been waiting on some positive feedback on recent production before picking more up and it looks like they're back. 2
Luca Posted November 25, 2017 Author Posted November 25, 2017 Sampler recieved! Thank you Rob and the crew! Thank you guys for liking the review. I am excited to try these! Just need to let them rest for a month or so Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk 2
