I came across this video review and found it most enjoyable as it reflects passion and a very positive approach to cigar smoking.

Besides : It shows how to properly use tap water to wet the wrappers of vintage cigars.

Well done IMHO

Well. If you say so Nino....I would never do that, especially to a 60 plus year old cigar....I have a friend who wipes  spit / saliva from top to bottom for the same reason...he is 78 ...

A good video  many thanks for sharing.... for a moment a 50 year old  Don Candido and tap water.... was scary... a wee rum or two for me.

cheers Nino

Perhaps the most ambiguous and sweet thread title from you ever, Nino

Thank you and always great to see you brother.

The only thing I'd say about the 'Tap technique' is don't do this in London. Unless you like your cigar tasting of lime, and trace elements of 7 peoples bladders

I wet the wrappers in a similar manner a lot in the colder months.  The wrapper repels most of the water, so the cigar doesn't get soggy or anything.  I don't use as much water, just a slight dribble, but enough to wet the wrapper.  And I wrap it in a paper towel for a few minutes before cutting and lighting.  Helps keep the wrapper from splitting.  I also feel like it adds a touch of vibrancy to the flavors, but that could certainly be psychological.

Same here except for wrapping in paper towel for some minutes, just wipe the cigar dry, cut and light it.

First time seen and done it with MRN in Hong Kong years back and I admit it was funny at first but the advantages, as you also mention, convinced me. No harm in trying it out.
