Looking for some suggestions. I never have a cigar in the morning, however, my wife and I are planning a long weekend in a few weeks, to just relax bit. What are some of your favorite petite corona size cigars that go well with a bold, black coffee?

I love a Boli PC with coffee. It's got enough body not to be overwhelmed by the coffee, and I don't think you lose any of the nuance of the cigar.

Unlike with my other favorite PC, the Upmann. With that one, I think coffee just masks the great roasted coffee notes in the smoke.

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

I have a box of Trinidad Reyes on the way, but, from the reviews I have read, a dark coffee may overpower the cigar. Same with Montecristo No. 4. One of my favorites, but I feel that it would be lost with a strong coffee.

El Principe, RASCC, Reyes, Shorts.  Consider a slim cigar like LGC MdO #3 or #4.

What about a siglo 1? I've had one with my morning coffee (which is typically a double espresso with just a touch of sugar).

Any HDM for me is a great morning cigar with an Americano

I like a LGC Medaille D'Or #4, or a Monte 4, or an Upmann Petit Corona, or a Party Short, or a PLPC, or a Cohiba Siglo 4....just about any cigar will work. Experiment. Find yur favorite.

Partagas Shorts,  Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas, or perhaps a Bolivar Coronas Junior.

That said, while in Italy, I also immensely enjoyed half a Toscano with my morning espresso.... they seem made for each other.

Try them all, And decide on your preferred profile. Aside from consistency issues, there's good blends to be had in all 38-42 RG sticks, as long as you stay away from the bargain blends.
