El Presidente Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Try not to take the piss out of him. There was once a time when we all thought there were independent companies as opposed to the evil empire that is HSA. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Your Name: Subject: FeedbackEmail Address:Message: Hello I recently purchased a ramon allones cigar from a local smoke shop. The humidor was behind the desk and being in a rush I made the mistake of not feeling the firmness of the cigar before leaving. When I went to smoke the cigar I pulled it out of the bag and noticed it was extremely squishy. I decided to give it a try and smoke the first third. Needless to say the quality wasn't there and the smoke was bitter. What should I do about this?? I weould like to contact the ramon allones company but I can't seem to find any info on them. I will be reporting this to the cigar shop today. Thank you 1
retrofail Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Surely President Castro has a QC/customer service email address listed somewhere to address customer complaints! 1
JamesKPolkEsq Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Is there a world's smallest violin emoji? 1
dominattorney Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 "dear sir, or madam, Mr. Ramon Allones would be very upset to hear that you did not enjoy his product and I'm sure would be happy to furnish you with a full refund. Love, Nemo" 1
Spanishcedar Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Dear Sir, The Ramon Allones company is currently not answering emails for holiday until 2098, pending a capitalist regime taking over. Should the regime not yet be established in 2098 due to technicalities and political instability, please wait another 50 years. Your concerns are very important to the Ramon Allones TEAM. 2
MooseAMuffin Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I would tell him, "Unfortunately Mr. Allones is out on vacation and has not stated when he will be returning. He is a very hard person to get a hold of. Please leave your name and number and I will leave it on his desk." 1
ehdg Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Personally I'd take it up with the store and not Habanos. IMO the store probably sold you a fake that they produce in their back room in darkness typically sometime after midnight and before 8 am. I'd definitely ask for my monies back from them and if they won't refund it either stay there and pitch a fit till a bobby showed up so you could report the owner of the store or contact the local chamber of commerce of bout the store being a fraud.
SignalJoe Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Welcome to the world of Cuban cigars, you have just learned lesson 1; Cuban QC sucks. Lesson 2; Buy from FOH. Lesson 2 negates lesson 1. Rinse, lather, repeat. 1
kalibratecuba Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I'm curious to know what his expectations are with sending a letter. Stopping production? An autograph picture of Mr. Allones with an accompanying note of apology?I'd also be interested to know who has returned to a store to complain about the quality of a cigar, for which the store had no control?I, personally, don't complain about cigars or produce as nature has imperfections. Don't buy much fruit because of this, but will take the great risk with Cubans when there is a qualified Aussie inspector on the job.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

polarbear Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 I'd mock the guy but when I was a kid I tried to write Colonel Sanders a letter asking why the salt you got in the little KFC salt sachets wasn't the same chicken salt they used on their chips... 4
westg Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Wish him / her luck, they may need it . Then erase that email fro your memory... Rob I think you are giving to much attention to doodle heads . 1
shlomo Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 edited. Not worth the energy.. ...I would take the two minutes to send the member a quick e-mail explaining a few things and wish him/her luck.

I'm sure the Cifuentes family would have been very receptive to such complaints and rectified the situation right up until 1959... 2

Doctorossi Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Surely there's a general-purpose Habanos, S. A. address you could respond with.
jay8354 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 OK, not sure who this is but if he is going to whinge for his own mistakes, why is he emailing you or anybody from FOH for that matter? If he is a member of this forum, he should have read previous posts about buying from the local shop, it is a gamble. He even admit he was rushing and did not check the cigar properly. Most probably it was fake anyway and not stored properly. Either way he should just chalk this to a learning experience and move on.
LordAnubis Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 You guys are all going to be have major egg on face when this bloke finds Mr Allones and informs him of his poor quality control and Mr Allones comes to his senses and produces perfect cigars everytime... Just give him the address of HSA office and tell him they only accept face to face feedback.
Andy04 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 The poor fellow probably bought a 60rg RA that looks like this.... 1
SirVantes Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 "The Ramon Allones company is now run by the eponymous founder's grandson, Mr. Homer Allone2. Unfortunately, we are unable to contact Mr. Allone2 at this time, as he is lost in New York. Please continue to direct your queries to Mr. Robert Ayala."
Fugu Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Tell him to try this and to report back.... http://www.habanos.com/es/contacto/ 4

You might be surprised, but policy of many if not most (decent) cigar shops in Europe is that you can return a plugged / unsmokeable cigar to get a replacement, even after lighting it. A serious cigar merchant who knows his business will do that, as he will likewise make sure that he keeps the quota low.... 7
