BellevilleMXZ Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 While I have only been smoking for about year,(and maybe smoked maybe 70??) I just had a MC#2 that was awful. Underfilled, full of voids, and the last 1/3 was very off in taste. This was a 10box I had bought in Cuba. So far the other 6 or so have been great. While some I have smoked were just OK, this was awful, stubbed out last 1/3....the first ever.....seems I have joined the club, as I have seen others post of this. Now on to a Cohiba!
jerrybrowne Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 One bad cigar out of 70 is pretty good! Personally, I'd just write this off as a bad box and not give up on Monte 2's if you've liked them before. 1

JohnS Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Don't sweat it too much as the sensational ones more than make up for these type of cigar-smoking experiences. 3

Its also going to be interesting to compare the 24:24 box I have , to the ones I grabbed from Cuba, as I sure didn't know much about picking good ones back when I got them
garbandz Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 one among 70 is pretty good odds, but you could have 5 more bad ones in the next 5 you smoke. when you reach 100,post and let us know. I have had probably 4 this year that had to be tossed prematurely, and 20 or so that got by with a small adjustment. so that is 24 this year that were less than ideal right from the box. This is not counting a terrible box of Partagas that just fell apart as they burned , but had a great flavor and aroma. 18 of 22 were like this, with 3 to go. go figure......... 1
cigaraholic Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I think for quite a few years 20% of the cigars in Cuba are rolled at the Windtunnel Heartbreak Hotel. 1
