So a friend on Facebook posted this picture. All I could think was how the wrapper looked wrong, the band was atrocious, and the writing on the band was all wrong. I am right, right?

... I think they he is knocking off the Cigar-Czar website! Watch out Rob! -LOL

Speaking of that mate, is that site no longer operational? You used to have such a beautiful retail site. I suppose I can thank the Oz government for that... ?

Ever since I saw a guy smoking a cigar with the cedar sheet still wrapped around it, nothing surprises me anymore.

I kinda want to try that - sounds rather spectacular. Or maybe that random executive douchebag that pretends to know-it-all after a few drinks could be persuaded if a suitably rare Cedros was offered to "smoke it properly this time".

The question is if you said anything or let him enjoy in ignorant bliss?   Now that I am much smarter with Cubans, I am pretty sure some of my "Cubans" I enjoyed through the years were actually fakes.  That would explain why I never found them all that good till I actually tried the real thing.  Wowza!!

I wouldn't say anything in a post. Heck, I would only say if something was fake if they asked for an opinion. No need in bursting people's bubbles.

That depends
I've seen some pretty unsanitary stuff rolled up inside fake Cuban cigars
I would hate to see one of my friends smoking a cigar that could contain rat droppings, hair or paint chips (all stuff I've seen)

If I saw a friend of mine smoking something like that I'd suggest he cut one open (if he has more) just to be on the safe side
If he's really your friend, and is not trying to look like a Baller, he'll take it the right way if you present it the right way

Yup, agree unless someone you see about and can take a message well. Private message or text way to go imo.

I can't imagine what anyone would find wrong with the old website.
But then again, I'm not a politician or bureaucrat seeking something, (anything ! ) to do in order to justify my job.

It's like the old saying, praise in public and punish in private.   I'd like to think my friends would appreciate it if I let them know nicely out of the public eye.
