Saddened to hear this.  If any family of his is out in Colorado, I'd be happy to offer a friendly ear, couch, or drink.  My family is  still in New Jersey and I'm sure would offer the same.  We knew many first responders and victims of 9/11.  Despite the tragedy of that day, it brought out some of the best human qualities in so many people I've gotten to know.

That is sad news but it also made me smile to think two strangers at other ends of the earth could and would end up as friends. The world is a much smaller and friendlier place as long as we keep our doors open a crack.
