Graceland Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I know this has been posted before, but I can't find it on a search. I'm interested in purchasing cabs of 50. Besides PLPC, Can someone throw up a quick list thats still in regular production? Thanks guys
NSXCIGAR Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 CCW is a great resource for info like this and much more: http://cubancigarwebsite.com/packaging.aspx 1
LordAnubis Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Indeed, just get on CCW and search for packaging, tick SLB50 and press search.
JohnS Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 We had a good chat about this issue here about 6 months ago. Yes, it's a shame that there's not many current 50 cabs in production. 1
Graceland Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 Thank you John. That was the thread I was looking for
LordAnubis Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Personally i am shifting my stock to the smaller packages. I am now finding i like having 10ct boxes or 10 sticks from a box split etc. Smaller volume boxes means i have more space to put a variety of stock in my fridge. Space in the fridge is finite, and the amount i smoke is also finite. So for me having a smaller amount of a larger range of stock is the way i'm heading at the moment. Previously i was on a phase of "stock up big on things you like". Now the flavour of the month is "variety". 2

Finding and enjoying the right cigar for the right moment is a big part of what cigar aficionado-don is all about (at least for me). But cabs do have one big advantage: they are so big that the cigars have at least a fighting chance of aging a bit before I smoke them .... 1
GavLew79 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Gweilgi, are you Welsh? Your tag means "the deep" the "sea" or a "torrent" in Welsh.

When I first ventured onto the interweb lo those many years ago, I signed up for various services and webmail accounts with a number of translations of my surname. Unfortunately,I noticed far too late that I had bollixed up the Welsh. It is a tricky language... Which won't stop me from cheering for them whenever England goes home prematurely yet again... 1
garbandz Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 there is nothing preventing you from finding some 50 capacity cabs and filling them. I have kept my cigars this way for decades,it works well and gives you a chance to store enough for a couple of years.(months?) rather elegant to open the humi and see all that good tobacco waiting ................

Yup. Nice way to consolidate half-empty boxes. Then you can make room for more boxes in your cooler/humidor.

sactochris Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 it's tough to beat a nice 50 cab. I split a cab of SLR DC's a couple of years ago and they are really coming into their own. It's nice to have some since they have gotten so rare.
