So I see guys on here always buying from the 24:24, multiple boxes at a time.

How do you come up with your cigar budgets?

Obviously your bills need to be paid first, but after that, how do you come up with a figure to spend?

cigar budget - the total amount of income that can be successfully hidden from the missus.

It's more that you have the "disposible Income",money you do not need for necessities. Living within your means,so to speak. If you have a wife, disregard the above............

Jumbo shrimp...military intelligence...cigar budget... ...oxymoron

Whatever money is left over after bills and rent goes straight to cigars.

Yes I have a wife, she doesn't bust my ass about spending money as long as we have everything paid. She likes spending too so I guess that's a plus for me.

She doesn't ask questions like "what are these packages always being delivered to you?"

Yes, but she has no idea how much they cost.

I'm single. After my bills are paid (mortgage, car bill, electric/utilities, internet/cable) then I look at the damage I've done to my card.

If I have the space and a box shows up that I fancy I will buy it. Only time I've ordered multiple boxes were for smaller vitolas. Pay grade doesn't allow for multi double corona box purchases.

I have been terrible this year with budgeting when it comes to the daily 24:24 deals. Worse of all now I don't get them shipped and put them straight into OLH so she not need know unless checking the accounts! sneaky.gif

I am new to Habanos and my GOAL this year is to try and buy a box a month.

We have our "allowances" that we are entitled to from our budget. She buys clothes, shoes, purses, makeup, nails and all that stuff, I buy cigars. Separate credit card that she does not have access to, so there are never any questions about the pricing. Standard answer is between $100 and $150 per box. Some things are better kept secretok.gif

$4-5K/year

I wouldn't say this is my ongoing annual budget, but probably about what I've spent this year. Being new to Habanos, I tried various brands then bought boxes of what I liked - trying to scale up quickly and build up a decent stock for enjoying and aging. Problem has been I've liked pretty much every CC I've set flame to haha. I don't anticipate spending nearly that much in 2016 now that I have a solid stock. Plus I'm only a 1-3 a week smoker, less in the dead of winter and summer.

Sorry guys, I am responsible, first come the necessary things -

then the spending for cost-of-living....

You can back in to a basic budget by calculating how many cigars you smoke a month and then double (or triple) that number. Divide by 25 and multiply by $200.

That should give you a rough figure to support both your smoking habit and setting aside some to age.
