Received my first Siglo VIs (10) today - will be trying to leave these for a celebratory moment in a few years time

What special boxes have you out away for deep deep sleep?

Well, most things in the OLH - primarily standard production cigars and a handful of RE/LE stuff I don't want to be able to touch.

Aside from those the Monte 520, Boli GM, Flor de Cano Gran Canos, Sir Winston I've gone fairly deep on for the long run.

I bought a 10 box of Partagas Lusi about 3 years ago. It was a 1 in 100 box you rarely come across (as we know that not all boxes are the same quality). Perfect construction, oily wrappers, and a powerful aroma to die for. It has taken so much restraint of my part to not try one yet.

Will have to wait for a special celebration, maybe if the Fremantle Dockers win the Premiership this year party.gif been waiting 21 seasons pod.gif

I have a box of LGC MdO No. 2s and a box of Sir Winnes that I'm going to try to age out as long as possible, smoking only one cigar per year starting at 2 years from the box code. If they really hit a seam of goodness, I'll see if my patience can handle the temtation.

Not so much for the aging part, but I have a box of Aug 2014 PSP hoyo DC that'll I'll smoke on my sons birthday only as it's the same box date as his birth date

Nothing is sacred in my stash. If they are smoking good, I'll light more, if they taste a little rough, I wait before my next.

I do have a bundle rolled for Don Alejandro's 90th birthday party that I can't quite muster the nerve to open yet, and I'm trying to save what few VR Adríatico's I have left

I'm waiting to buy a box soon that I want to put away long term and smoke once a year on my daughters birthday. She was only born in July this year so have a little bit of time to buy. Been doing some research on here and still tossing up what I should get. Doesn't have to be super expensive but something that ages well. Any suggestions would be welcomed :)

I have a box of Bolivar Especiales No.2 Edición Regional Alemania 2009 that I'm trying to keep my hands off. I've had a couple though.... Same with 1.5boxes of Bolivar GMs that I have left, but they are smoking so great now...

2006 Monsdales - for another 15 years or so as the plan is to smoke them with my sons along with a Cadenhead single malt that I bought for them when they turn 18 & 21... 2014 R&J Cazadores for 8-10 years, 2014 PLPC for at least 5, 2003 Upmann Connie 1 for another 3 or so... the list could go on. I keep about half of the boxes of cigars that I think are good contenders for ageing (except the Cazas - just keep them all!)

I may have a hoarding problem, but I'm fine with it peace.gif

A box of 2013 Sir Winnies I'm going to try and forget about for a long time. Several boxes of RASS, PSD4 and P898 as well.

I have a box of El Rey del Mundo Infantes (ER Cuba 2013). I have been staring at them for a little while now and I just can't seem to find the appropriate occasion to smoke them. I think to myself what is the appropriate occasion for these? How much legs do these have? Then even looking at the price of box now, I picked these up in Cuba for I think 55 CUC, but I am seeing these going at auctions for ~$400 now. I would most likely not sell.

Boxes that I'm trying to forget about....Bolivar Inmensas and GM, JL #4, LGC Tainos, PL Legendarios and Regalias de Londres, RA CF.

I've stockpiled Siglo III, Sir Winston, Encantos and Cazadores so some should get some deep down time.

The one new cigar I really like is the Bolivar Libertador, I'm building a lay down pile of them.

The above nailed it for me also. For the most part I try to buy aged cigars, now that being said I have had some boxes in the humidor for 10 year!!! I do have some singles that have a lot of meaning to me but will be smoked someday.

I have moved completely away from saving things for the most part, smoke anything any time...the one exception to this is my 2010 Behikes....I really never had any pressing urge to smoke them and the longer they've sat the more interested I've become in just letting them sit...no particular reason other than I think their a great choice to leave alone for a long time.

My Hamlet customs. Waiting for the right time, place and company. Will also take some with me when I head to Florida to see the man again - will share with him.

i typically open each box and dry box one for a week and try it. the only exceptions are those i have multiple boxes of (ra superiores 10s, cohiba siglo vi 10s, siglo vi tubos,) and partagas lusitanas that i havent opened, the rest are all minus 1 in the dry box, if i like them how they are, ill slowly add more to the drybox rotation, if not i plan to let the box sit until next spring and try the process again.

I have a variety of boxes and singles (EL's, RE's, D/C'ed boxes, reg productions) that I'm aging. I have a bad habit of buying something and leaving it untouched for years and cigars are no different. I wish I could be like some of you guys and just smoke whatever I want but something always holds me back. I really hope I could smoke everything I have eventually but we'll see.

Hmm.. a box of PSP Siglo VI 2014, H.Upmann Monarch Tubos'07, SLR DC'14 and PL Magnificos'07.....

Like others ... Nothing is sacred and I will open for smoking whatever catches my eye .

But I have a stash that is good for ( much ) longer than I will live ... Lots of untouched boxes that I bought 10 15 or 20 years ago ... Just never caught my eye yet . Aging through overbuying .
