LutzSpearo Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Hi folks, Just registered with the site after a friend of mine recommended it, and wanted to briefly introduce myself. I'm an American engineer in the shipping/energy industries, basically inspecting ships, drilling rigs and floating mobile structures. I'm currently living in Ulsan, Korea together with my family. I've been pretty heavy into cigars for about two years now, enjoy a smoke every evening, and have started getting into collecting. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge here thanks to the shared wisdom/experience of all the smokey old timers. Nice to meet y'all! Matt 1

I actually just started up something of a social club, just a group of guys to get together for a smoke twice a month. 14 guys attended last night, all Westerners except for one Korean... but that guy spent several years in the U.S. so he doesn't count lol. Not many Koreans even understand what a cigar is. Hopefully, we can attract a little more local interest going forward.

I have visited the shop at the JW Marriott, it used to be called Maska's Tabac. Quite pricey, but gentleman who ran it (owned?) was American and very friendly. I lost touch with him a couple years ago when I moved to Qatar, but now I'm back in Korea so I should probably give him a call. Anyway, hard to beat the quality and pricing here.
