stogieluver Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Never have tried these. Never really wanted to. Please tell me what the attraction is, and how the hell do you smoke them?? I assume you take the three sticks apart, but why should I try these?
JohnS Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Yes you take the three sticks apart. Once you smoke one of these, trust me, you'll immediately understand their appeal.
shlomo Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Yes you take the three sticks apart. Once you smoke one of these, trust me, you'll immediately understand their appeal. Agreed. Not a gimmick at all. Delicious cigar and great to share with 2 friends! One of the best Partagas has to offer. 3
Boosted Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I like them because I can split it with two friends. The individual cigars smoke just fine. I guess some people might like them because they look different. For CC, I have only ever had the Partagas Culebra and I didn't really care for that cigar.
Smallclub Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 For CC, I have only ever had the Partagas Culebra and I didn't really care for that cigar. The Partagas is the only culebras in the HSA catalog. IMO it's a very good Partagas.
Boosted Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 The Partagas is the only culebras in the HSA catalog. IMO it's a very good Partagas. I'm aware of that. I should have clarified though. I've only had the Partagas Culebra and not some of the custom rolled culebras that are out there.

Do you like them or not? LOL Never mind...got it. Who rolls custom culebras? Never seen that!
polarbear Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Your post is confusing. Do you like them or not? LOL Never mind...got it. Who rolls custom culebras? Never seen that! the fabled Johnny O offers Custom Churchill Culebras sometimes
Boosted Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Sorry guys. Yeah, it is a bit confusing. No, I didn't like the Party culebra, but I have only smoked 3 of them. On another board, I've seen some Cueto rolled culebras.
MIKA27 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I assume youre after Cuban Culebras? There are a number of NC's that offer Culebras. Oliva V RyJ Opus X Chinchalero The list is huge
khamy Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I enjoyed a tasting of these with JohnS and a few of the other boys earlier this year (thanks again Trevor L for your generosity). it was surprising because at face value it looks like a novelty cigar but when you smoke it. it is a seriously enjoyable smoke, its definitely not for bucks party moochers. Enjoy it for the good smoke it is, but also enjoy it for the talking point it will create.
polarbear Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 After reading this from our own AT Groom, I'm starting to think I've been smoking Culebras wrong all these years... http://duskybeauties.com/partagas-culebras/ 2
maxcjs0101 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Can anyone tell me what the flavour profile is? Thanks..

Can anyone tell me what the flavour profile is? Thanks.. I would say somehing like a mild Partagas 8-9-8 or Lusitania.

SMQQKIN Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 One of my fav cigars. Great cigar to share with two other cigar smoking friends. I find that it is unique & always is a cigar that generates a discussion to its origins & often exceeds expectations.
Knilas Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Great thread, great question. Been wondering about these as well. . Appreciate the feedback...
khamy Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 WTH??? I hadn't read this review yet but it's hilarious, i am literally on the ground in fits. Well written Alex... well written.
Smallclub Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Can anyone tell me what the flavour profile is? Thanks.. It's a punchy, mainly earthy Partagas.

Smallclub Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Hate to admit it but I probably would have done the same..... I don't believe you. No one can be so silly.
madandana Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I don't believe you. No one can be so silly. I've never seen one in person or paid that much attention but When seeing pics. Briefly, I just assumed you'd lite the whole thing. Maybe if I had one in my hand, it would have become apparent that they need to be unrapped. 1
Smallclub Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Maybe if I had one in my hand, it would have become apparent that they need to be unrapped. Isn't it evident, even on pictures, that the whole thing must be unwrapped? Look at the size of the band, that makes impossible to smoke more than a half of the lenght; not even mentionning the red ribbon… 2
JoeyGunz Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I have a Regius Culebra in the humidor, one of my best mates birthday bbq tomorrow, I'm going to pull it out as this thread has piqued my interest. Have only smoked party's before. Will have to get a review up for the Rancid Review Week. Each has a different wrapper. 1
