Lit this one up about an hour ago and was a little stunned. medium bodied, beautiful sweet opening flavours, viscous in the mouth, deep golden buttered toast. Finishing it now and it has moved to full bodied and while losing the delicate notes it is still a fine cigar in the 93 range.

I have never considered a JLS2 as being a "smoke young" cigar. I only lit this one to see what they are doing. Glad I did.

I am away for a wedding from lunchtime today and will take some with me (from two different boxes) to see if it was one of those aberrations or something more.

For those with young JLS2 (2013 forward) can you light one over the weekend and post a brief review here? I would love to see if you get any of what I experienced in this one.

Just had one tonight for the first time in a month, or so. Either LTB ABR 13 or same as yours-LTB SEP 13, not sure which box it came from, but I think it was SEP. I was surprised how approachable it was. Your description is spot on, except it never moved past medium full and maintained the balance and great complexity till the nub. I was very pleasantly surprised by it's subtle, nuanced character. Same wrapper color as yours. Hope it was the SEP box since the cab. Is almost full!

I smoked one the other night while plowing and I nearly wanted to pop the nub in my mouth it was so good. I will add it was my 5th cigar of the evening and it was 3 in the morning. I was shocked at how good it was also a mid 2013 box.

PSM MAR 13, cab purchased in Oct 13, finished early Jan 15, which is very fast for me. They were VERY good, very true to the JL profile, but stronger than usual. A solid medium + in strenght, and perfectly rolled. Colorado, thin and supple wrappers.

Since about 2013 I've been enjoying the hell out of JLS2. It is a very good smoke. Good smoke for either a novice

or a pro. and priced right.

I have a box and a cab.

Box is UME MAR 14 and cab is PSM MAY 13

I've only sampled 1 from the cab, but the sticks from the 14 are top notch. I'm not one that can pick out all of these different flavors that I read in all of these reviews. I just know whether I like it or not. I must say I like them a lot.

I've got the same box code, LTB OCT 13. Ill try fire one up tonight and see how they are tracking. I have loved the box thus far though, been fantastic.

I had one from a LTB/PSM (don't remember) 2013 box code a few months ago and it was ok at best. Mild tobacco flavours, nothing special but it was quite enjoyable.

I had one about a month ago. It was gifted from a friend so I didnt catch the box date, but I am almost positive that it was a 14. Very good cigar, had a lot of strength for a JLP #2. People always say to wait at least 2 years on this stick, I thought it was great young.

Had one last night from a 2013 box. Don't have the code as they were purchased as singles. Was a cracker for sure! Fantastic right out the gate, had that lovely barnyard and citrus mix. Always remind me of a well crafted gin & tonic with a classy tonic syrup.

I bought a box this past year and smoked one after the initial 30. I was not impressed but that has to have been 6 months ago by now. I will dig one out of the bottom of the cooler this weekend for research purposes.

Had 1 from a BMU SEP 13 HQ box I got from here and was excellent, had it in the summer time though so quite a while ago.. again like Rob's started sweet with a buttery toast like flavor, had some rough edges and then got harsh towards the last half or so..

I had 2013 last year and experienced that buttery toast profile that has been mentioned along with a little bit of mongrel which I actually enjoyed. Would love to see these pop up again on 24:24 if your "research" this weekend reveals a nice seam of these!

How do these compare to the JL PC flavor and body wise?

If you like the pc you will love the SNo.2 (robusto) which is a better cigar on all levels, and much more satisfying. The pc always leaves me wanting more.

Had a 13' box not from our host. I have about 5 left in the box not because I enjoyed them so much that I blasted through the box, but because i kept on chasing and hoping that I could pull one out that wasn't plugged to heck. Out of 25 I have had about 3-4 decent drawing sticks, and have saved about 2-3 decently rolled sticks. The rest were not what i had hoped for given the good things said about this cigar.

Definitely a box I want to forget about, however the ones I smoked that were good, makes me believe i will give it another chance.

I was about to use my random cigar selector machine for tonight's smoke and saw this topic and reached for a JL2. Never disappoints, for me one of the best values around. A CoRo beater..
