I really want to know what you guys think? I haven't smoked any of these marca's, because of all the reviews and comments I've seen people make!

My question to El Pres is as retailer does Habanos SA ever reach out to guys for your input?

Because this boggles me why they put these crap cigars out when they could save money and produce better cigars in marca's

You haven't smoked any, but your opinion is forged: they are crap cigars? Maybe you could try a Favoritos or a Petit Caza or even better an aged Fonseca No.1 before you throw this kind of statement..

None. We don't need more $40+ cigars with triple bands and serial numbers. We need enjoyable, relatively affordable cigars that most here would not be able to notice in a blind review. Nothing should

Can we axe the poll?

Not to be divisive, but unless you believe these marcas actually lose money for HSA, this argument makes no sense

The way i see it, If you have crap tobacco, that isn't up to standard, then why roll that into a cohiba? and jeopardise the prestige of the brand?

You need a cheapo brand to put all the sub par tobacco into. Better producing some sort of product than throwing all the tobacco away... or worse, selling it to big tobacco to put into cigarettes :o

I like vuegeros, quintero and jose l piedra (I heard they have been discontinued anyway).

The joys of the internet... The "discontinuation" of the Piedra line is not even a rumour, it's a misinterpretation of a somehow poorly written sentence in a cigar blog, AFAIK…

If u delete sub-par brands like Fonseca, Quintero, and Guantanamo, then where would all the left over tobacco and poor quality tobacco go? HSA sure as heck won't be throwing them away.

It would go in other "sub-par" cigars...

What's the problem with having different grades, different qualities and different prices? Do you guys realize that these cigars SELL?

I rather enjoy Piedra, to be honest. I'm out now, but I generally like to have a box or two on hand. They are tasty little numbers that merely lack complexity. The price can't be beat! I've never had a Vegueros, so I can't comment on those. I've had three or four Fonseca's...didn't enjoy them very much. While I do have a few gifted Guantanameras in my humidor, I've never actually tried one. Perhaps I'll do that while cleaning the garage today.

I vote none!

That's what I mean. You are preaching to the choir here my friend.

I've heard some really good things about the new look Vegueros cigars. And some smokers I really respect on another forum I frequent swear by Jose L Piedra Cazadores as a really solid cigar at a very good price point.

If I don't like an specific brand I won't be buying it and just let it be, sure there are people who like them.

I would be really mad and sad if a brand I like were discontinued because someone else didn't like it. Also I don't get why you call them crap if you have not smoked them? I think the base of knowledge is experience, don't let the comments of other people be the base for your taste. Just smoke them, if you like any of those great!

Nothing should be deleted except some of the newer nonsense like the Monte petit 2, the new vegueros, the psd5....overpriced hype.

Here's a question, the 2015 EL the Upmann Mag 56 (Or was it 58?) will presumably have the second magnum band like both the m46 and m50.

With the addition of the EL band will it be the first widely available Cuban triple band?
