Ken Gargett Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 In the future....you have been convicted of possessing non plain packaged tobacco and in a quantity larger than 500 grams (Just over a pound). The quantities mean that you were charged as a dealer. You retained ken Gargett as your lawyer... but he did a deal with the prosecutor to see you sink in exchange that he could get off a minor prior of crimes against fashion. Albeit ken never mentioned that he was a conveyancing lawyer......your pleas of incompetent representation fell on deaf ears. Piggy did a great job in presenting the appeal, but alas his closing arguments based upon all judiciary being "Commie Scum" didn't go down well. You have been sentenced to death by Electric Chair. Only green energy will be used. Piggy did manage to get you the following: Last meal of your choosing One bottle of whatever beverage you seek. One cigar What would you choose? seriously? i can't even get any peace when in exile? i was an aircraft/international finance lawyer (no longer wise to say banking lawyer, but that was basically it), not a conveyancing lawyer. trust a real estate agent to get that wrong. i did one litigation matter, as it was re a matter i was dealing with. i was brilliant. the idiot we were chasing accidently sent a fax to me instead of his own lawyer (kurtley beale, anyone?) saying it was imperative he immediately settled as he was almost out of funds to fight, but under no circumstancees was his lawyer to give us any clue that he was not prepared to fight on. even you could have won that one. even piggy - though the garbage bank manager we were chasing was more corporate greed than commie scum. for what it is worth, 1. the full degustation at 'el cellar can roca', at girona north of barcelona - love that place (alternatively, a hamburger at a corporate box at the superbowl the next time the skins win the thing. at least, that would ensure years for the appeals). 2. a magnum of 1945 DRC romanee-conti. unlikely as estimates suggest that there might only be one or two left in existence, if that. 3. a monster hamlet, with age, or possibly the tang monarch 02. now, if you'll leave me alone, i'm back to exile - i plan on re-emerging the minute you get on the plane to cuba so we can have some real fun on the forum! in a 'moderate' way, of course.
Ken Gargett Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 2 kilos of snails cooked in tomato, garlic, chilies and a dash of white wine. Accompanied by two freshly baked French baguettes. Magnum of magnum of 1965 domaine de la romanée-conti Por Larranaga Magnum given you poked the cage, allow me. you are a dead set embarrassment. of all the vintages in burgundy, what graft and corruption could have ever induced you to pick 1965? has there ever been a worse year? diabolically bad. if you were lucky enough to get a bottle from the estate cellars, though they may have used their last stocks for cooking, it is probably quite pleasant. at best. god spare me. you've chosen a wine that is normally now released at about $7,000 to $10,000 a bottle. to give you an idea of how bad the 65 was, it is available currently in france for $902. and that would only be for some dill who wants to put together a vertical line up and needs it to complete the set. or wants to buy it for a 50th birthday present and has no idea how dire it is. it is the monte C of wines. and i say this as someone besotted with drc and romanee conti. the greatest wines i have ever had have almost all come from this place. 1965 romanee-conti is not one of them. 1
Ken Gargett Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 i have read on and may i say, i am delighted to see that others have chastised your choice. so what if it is your birth year. you plan to drink crap because you happened to slide out on a certain day? if you are born in the first 9 months of the year, go with the '64 and claim it as from the year of conception (a neat trick for all those born in crap years). 1965 is a tough year to find great wine but the greatest 65s are from close to home. lindemans bin 3110 and bin 3100 1965 (shiraz) from the hunter valley - arguably the two greatest wines australia has ever produced. they are not only still going strong but getting better (be interesting to see if the 2010 grange holds up as well - it will go close). rarely available these days but if they come up at auction, $3k to $5k, though treasury estates is apparently trying to buy back any that do come up.

shlomo Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 sup with the diet cokes and coke zeros lol mexican coke or don't waste your time I don't like overly sweet drinks. Never tasted the Mexican variety, but regular Coke is just too sweet for me. Same with Coke Zero. Too sweet. If no Diet Coke available, I would go for ice water.
