PigFish Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 huh, it is literally a standard box pressed cigar, but rotated 90* isn't it! maybe the new 180 cigar will come soon, a new innovative cigar where the cigars in the box come with the heads of the cigars at the bottom of the box and feet at the hinge end! I hate to be a stickler mate, but having taken it to the academic committee, we all agreed that it was 45 degrees! -LOL What I want to know, is how the roller lines up the creases in the wrapper with the corners…? Wow, that is talent baby! -Piggy 1
PigFish Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 If it wasn't for this thread, how many here would even know about this cigar? I think that is a damn good point. If not for this thread I would have never known there was a cigar called an Alex Barkley… -LOL -the Pig
Laxman Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Crappie marketing ploy, scary thing is that people will actually by into it!
backslide Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I like Alec Bradley smokes, nothing wrong with em at all.
polarbear Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Ah but wait as this is marketing in full flight, there has to be a 'special' humidor on its way that will hold such odd shaped and innovative cigars. Now other humidor will do to contain the unique diamond shape. I doubt it, but keep an eye out for the exclusive AB Diamond cutter. A cutter designed to cut such a 'ground breaking' cigar 1
Maplepie Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Someone do this with a box of cigars right now! 3
dicko Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I like my round cigars rotated 90 degrees, when will they do that?
... Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I'm holding out for the next generation of cigars, designed with a cross section from the future, truly ergonomic and aerodynamic: the round cross section cigar, coming soon to your favorite b&m...
PigFish Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Someone do this with a box of cigars right now! … dude you are killing me over here!!! -
DrunkenMonkey Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I like Alec Bradley smokes, nothing wrong with em at all. Me too actually. I think some of them are as good as any non-cuban cigars, but I've only had the round ones. But triangles and diamonds? It's a bit over the top. If it sells cigars more power to them, but I'm gonna still get a kick out of it.
PigFish Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I am waiting for the new Airo-foil design. "The perfect draw, will add lift to your smoking experience!"
Jeremy Festa Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I inadvertently created the world's first figure 8 cigar on the weekend! I took out a Partagas Corona, PLMC and a LFdC Grandiosos and headed into the Valley. Once I had smoked the Montecarlo the other two shuffled about in my leather triple cigar holder that was in my pocket while I skanked out to some sick tunes by The Bennies! Now the Grandiosos got wedged in between two of the designated spaces in the leather cigar case. Now things got a little out of hand at the gig and the cigar case got squished in my pocket and with it the Grandiosos! Adding to this I had on extra skinny black jeans as I cling dearly to my youth. Anyway, the Grandiosos has two perfect ridges down each side and the foot looks like a figure 8! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maplepie Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Someone do this with a box of cigars right now! Would you pay extra for the diamondd!?! If you said no, you're either a liar or a sucker! Sent by the Enigma on BlackBerry.
Lotusguy Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Pfft - I will only consider it when it's at least a Hexagon, better yet, an Octagon.
fabes Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 If that diamond cigar had a RE band, I'd add it to my $25 smoke list!
Habana Mike Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Huh, going through the NCador and found I have some 'prototype' diamond vitolas! Wonder what those are worth? 3
PigFish Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Huh, going through the NCador and found I have some 'prototype' diamond vitolas! Wonder what those are worth? … well, if you were a buyer, what would you pay? -LOL You must be aging them, aye? -Piggy
fokker4me Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I really don't get it they already make a box press cigar in the portfolio in around the same ring gauge. So now you rotate it slightly and call it a new shape.? That sounds like a lot of hokey marketing to me. All that being said, I don't see any reason it would ever matter to me as I don't think I would smoke an Alec Bradley cigar. 2
Maplepie Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 All that being said, I don't see any reason it would ever matter to me as I don't think I would smoke an Alec Bradley cigar. quote of the week, folks!!
earthson Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 I had some burn problems with Alec Bradleys. I think because they weren't diamond shaped, probably. Or because the rollers simply refuse to strip away the monstrous stems Alec Bradley tobacco is known for?
Blippio Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Wow,so space aged! Shape changing cigars!! Factory rollers apply a technique known as the accordion method. With a little practise you can use this cigar to play "Lady of Spain" Ha, I chuckled at this! I'm actually impressed with the no-limits-marketing BS in the cigar industry... This one is uber-BS
