HarveyBoulevard Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I've been anxiously awaiting the new Partagas, Trinidad, and HDM releases. Just wondering if any FOHer's have been able to land any of the new regular releases for 2014 and if so, your thoughts and impressions.
SteveGriff Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo San Juan out in Switzerland and maybe Germany. Quintero Petit Quintero out in Switzerland AND germany No other releases know of yet
Ryan Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Por Larranaga Picadores getting a launch in Switzerland next week with a recommended price of 250chf. Looking forward to these. I like the brand and the size. I could see myself getting quite a few of them. Edit, Interesting that that is quite a bit less than what the Choix Supreme (for example) generally sells for in Switzerland. It would be nice if that trend continued worldwide.. 1
Strada Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Vegueros, Petit Quinteros are in store in Montreal. Hoyo San Juan is coming in anytime now.

Ryan Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Hey Ryan let us know how they are. I am really looking forward to these as well! I've no idea when I'll be able to get any, there will probably be plenty of other members here with access to them sooner than I do. Anyone in Switzerland for example or even those going to Cuba in November. It could be February before I see a box.

Are these suppose to be boxes of 25 now? I thought they were boxes of ten, 250 chf would make them more expensive than the liberators for half the cigar.

I thought they were boxes of ten, 250 chf would make them more expensive than the liberators for half the cigar. They are in boxes of 25, a single cigar would be 10CHF. By the end of September I will be in Switzerland - but this is a long run. May be some one is quicker....
earthson Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I love me some PLs and I love me some Hermosos #4, but if they're going to be around $250 everywhere, they can sit on the shelves and I'll keep with the PCs for my PL fix and the HU Connie 1s for my Hermosos fix. 1
Rushman Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 virtually everything I purchased in cuba was 2014. Nothing smoked yet but they all looked very nice.
Lant63 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Well at that price I'll pick up a box no problem. I plan on smoking through it while I let multiple boxes of the PL RE UK sober aliens age.
cigarsdelcuba Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Switzerland and Germany will see the first batch of these cigars - indication is that all new releases including the 2014 LE will begin to hit the world market in mid to late October

I don't know if this helps, but the Swiss price (not the duty free online price) for the H Upmann Conn No 1 is generally around 300chf. What I saw somewhere was that the Picadores swiss price (not the duty free online price) will be 250 chf. Quite a bit less. What I would be hoping for, based on that, is that the Picador will be priced similarly to, if not less than, existing Hermoso No. 4s, through all channels where they are available.
Lotusguy Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The Vegueros are also out in Germany already.

Maplepie Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 PL RE UK sober aliens age. Hey! You stole my terminology Also, I tried the fourth RA Petit Robusto (robusto Cortos) 2 days ago with great results. Ready to smoke and much better than the RA Petit Allones. Vegueros have all been very annoying and harsh. The super Claro thick ring gauges should age well though. Put 200 dollars worth in your humi for 3 years and forget about them. Best for last: I got to try the Upmann Reserva. And holy balls did it blow my expectations. The RyJ reserva absolutely sucked ass. It was a good cigar. But it was not worth 50 bucks. I would gladly choose an RyJ Churchill over it (as I can get 4 of them for that price) The H. Upmann No. 2 Reserva I thought was going to be the same thing. But no -It was bleeding magnificent and will definitely command a box soon! Sent by the Enigma on BlackBerry. 1

I was just going off of the current conversion rate between Swiss Francs and my local currency.
Ryan Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 ryan thats a bit more than I see Choix supreme for at my friendly geneva shop. I think I know the shop you mean, I guess 210 chf, they are an exception though, along with some others. The price in other shops and LCDHs are up around 300 chf.
Lotusguy Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The new HDM are about to be available in Germany - 14.2 euros a stick
