Surprised we don't have a thread on this yet! Ryan (that sure narrows it down ) got me thinking: does anyone actually NOT like these? Speak up, we won't have a public flogging (or we will. i'm not your mother) if you speak negatively about it. Honestly want to see if this herd mentality is actually justified.

I personally have had 2 LUT Jul '12s and 1 MUR. They were both outstanding. I'm hunting for another box code before i can completely solidify my opinion on these. Just doesn't seem like Cuba to produce a wicked cigar that's so amazing, so young. And so consistent.

Anyone want to help me find a flaw here?

I have yet to try one. The LFTH is killing me right now. I really want to pick up a box. But there is one flaw, ring gauge. At least to me.....I prefer 48 and under.

Honestly, that's what i thought when i first smoked it.

but then i was just reminded of the glorious existence of the Sir Winnie. and all was better.

I bought a box blind based on friends reviews, and some comparisons given, the name (I'm a huge Connie 1 fan), and as I smoke my first one that I grabbed at my B&M, I have to say I have no regrets. If the ones I get are as good, I am a happy camper

I'm curious to know how these compare to the Royal Robusto for those who've smoked both? These are right around the same price point as well it seems, but a tad higher.

Had two (UPE) October '12. Both in October last year. did not like the strong hints of "barbeque honey" that i tasted there.

it was just an overtone of "barbeque honey" the entire time. no other way to describe it... went up and sold 7 of them with one left in my humidor. probably just wasn't in my wheelhouse as others seemed to love them to death.

but even if i did enjoy that flavour, they did not preform as well as the Connie As did. Connie As being only 6 months old before cremation, they preformed fantastically!

Smoked through two boxes of HURR and only two singles of Connies.

I'm buying Connies whenever I can.

The only thing that I don't like about them is the price - and that's why I keep buying Connie 1 instead for half the money

I think they are closest to recent Connie 1's - which have been very good. Agree with Lotusguy in that they are pricey, but also very, very good cigars.

I picked up a single in Cuba last week and was rather impressed. I need to have a few more to form any kind of detailed opinion but I would chance a box purchase.

I just placed my first order with Rob two weeks ago. Snagged two boxes of these at $305 a box. Thought about another box when I saw them in the LFTH, but was a little shocked on the price so I passed.

Although I am anxious to try these out.

'12 box dates??? This is a '13 release, LATE '13 hitting stores in Cuba '14 anywhere else....anyways, great cigar....lots kicking around in Havana now brought a couple cabs back and the pricing down there blows my mind for the cigar!

This is the second time this has happened (first box blind was Upmann RR). It's hard to justify $385 a box when you have tried one and just basing a purchase on what others have said.

I hope they turn out delicious, or at least satisfy my decision to make the jump blind..

My mistake. I did mean Jul '13. I mentioned they were smoked only at 6 months old.

12 is measly a small typo.

In the same boat. I went back and forth on buying these blind, but in the end so many great reviews by guys that I find I agree with in regards to flavor profiles pushed me over the edge.

No box code given to me as I grabbed a few singles of the Connie 1's a couple of months ago - I only assume they were mid- '13's - but the profile of those compared to the Connie A's was clearly similar. Hope this helps...

Bought two boxes from Rob. One went out today so will hopefully have it by end of next week if I get lucky. Based on a few reviews of friends that I enjoy the same profile of cigars, had to pick up a box. Then was able to grab a PSP box last night at LFH.
