Popular Post Squarehead Posted April 1, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 1, 2014 Today my wife and I got married in Stuttgart/Germany.The success to that is whatever we did we did together. No such thing as yours, mine or ours in our house.Everything was done in the best interest of the family.Of course there were ups and downs just like everywhere and we went through rough times such as giving up our household in Germany and move to Canada to start all over. Then in the late 80's we were cheated out of about $250.000,lost everything and you guessed it,started all over again.then in 2001 we lost our first born grandson 2 days after birth but not done yet we lost our oldest son in August 2009.Life in general threw us one curveball after another. As many times as we were knocked down we picked ourselfes up again and made us stronger.Well,I have to congratulate my wife to stick with me and we are what we are. 10

TiminBC Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 We are defined by the tough moments of life and if we are lucky they makes us stronger and closer.
LordAnubis Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Good stuff mate!.. what are you smoking to celebrate?

mash Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congratulations to you and your wife. You have faced some horrendous challenges, the two of you must be incredibly resilient. Enjoy your day.
CaptainQuintero Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congrats!! The longest I know of is 73 years from my nan and grandad 1939-2012 when grandad went off for another adventure You going through your ups and downs are building a stronger castle each time is testament to both of you!
AndrewNR Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Wow congratulations that is incredible, life is what happens while your busy making other plans, it's the way you cope and deal with that which defines who you are and how you feel about it all.
Guyman1966 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Not there yet. 22 years logged in for us. Last week I attended a funeral for an 97 year old man. His 90 year old widow was there as they were married 73 years! I'm thinking that if I'm married 70 years... just shoot me. LOL!
NastyPirate Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Props to you! I am only at 28 years. I agree that it is the hardships that define the quality of a marriage, rather than the rest of a life together. I plucked my then- 21 British love from the UK to the US. I was 36. I can't imagine spending a day with anyone else. We have had our share of sorrow and relative hardship, but we seem to come back stronger each time. Best to you and your wife 1
Optic101 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congratulations, only can guess what it means. All the best for you and your wife for the future.
DoubleDD Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congratulations, you are both a pillar of strength. May God bless you both. Everything happens for a reason. I've been through quite a bit in my 33 years of life and I've never lost faith.
Nino Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Deiner Gattin und Dir : Herzlichen Glückwunsch !! Truly inspiring and as you said, what counts is the spirit of being and doing all together despite all the traps that life springs. Auf euer Wohl und geniesst den Tag !!

Fosgate Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congrats and awesome to see people together for so many years. My step mothers parents were high school sweethearts and were married fresh out of high school. Had 12 children and both lived to see a huge family of children, grand children and great grandchildren. They both passed away just two months apart. Also my grandparents had their 50th just a few years before my grandmother passed away in 1991. They were married just before my grandfather shipped off to "The War".
subport Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Congratulation! So good to see tight marriages and relationships. I am only at 15th now.
guideright Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Great post! Congratulations on a wonderful life together - no doubt earned with great effort by both - awesome example for this day and age!
